There is never a dull moment in Gatlinburg. Surrounded by the abundant beauty of the mountains, this place never ceases to draw in a crowd of people from all over the world. However, Gatlinburg offers more than just scenery. This city is filled with dozens of fun and exciting attractions.
Ober Gatlinburg provides a year round family fun amusement park and ski resort where families can participate in an outdoor maze, skate in the indoor ice skating rink, water raft rides, carousel, Kiddie Land, and so much more!
The best way to get to Ober is by taking the 2.1 mile ride on the Aerial Tramway which departs regularly from Downtown Gatlinburg to the park. The Tramway is one of America’s largest and provides the most magnificent views of the Smoky Mountains.
If riding the Aerial Tramway isn’t enough to satisfy the craving for mountain scenery, the Space Needle will do just that. This observation tower will take those who are willing, over 400 feet up into the air to a 360 degree view of The Great Smoky Mountains and the city of Gatlinburg. The Space Needle also provides entertainment with the IRIS Theater, and a place to eat at the Flying Saucer Bistro.
While walking up and down The Parkway, you will find a variety of Ripley’s Believe It or Not attractions such as their Odditorium, Haunted House, Aquarium and Penguin Playhouse and so much more!
Continue down The Parkway and The Hollywood Star Cars Museum is right there for all to enjoy and see some of the best cars and vehicles that have been featured in Hollywood movies and TV within the last 50 years. Some examples of these famous rides would be the Batmobiles, General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine.
These are all but just a few of what Gatlinburg has to offer. The list of these amazing attractions really does go on and the best way to find them is to just take a stroll down the parkway where you can find new and fun attractions around every corner.
