The Pancake Pantry has delivered what are arguably the best pancakes known to mankind to Gatlinburg locals and tourists alike for over 60 years. Jim and June Gerding decided in 1960 to take a risk and open a pancake house in a city they'd vacationed in countless times before. Their move from Indiana was a true leap of faith, and 62 years later it's safe to say their risk paid off! While their menu boasts a wide array of delicious breakfast options, most visitors opt for pancakes in some form or fashion for obvious reasons. From more traditional offerings like wild blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes to more abstract flavor profiles like those found in the Caribbean pancakes, there's truly something for everyone here. SAWYER'S FARMHOUSE RESTAURANT

Sawyer's Farmhouse Restaurant is family owned and operated, and it has quickly become a Pigeon Forge hot spot. Per their website, "Sawyer’s Farmhouse Breakfast is a locally-owned and operated restaurant. We opened our doors in July of 2014 and have acquired a large following and rave reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. We serve various breakfast food including Crepes, Belgium Waffles, Made-From-Scratch Pancakes, syrups, and compotes. We have freshly-whipped butter that melts easily over the waffles and pancakes covered in our warm homemade syrups. For lunch, we offer a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads, and as always you can have breakfast all day long." It's well worth your time to stop in and grab a meal at Sawyer's. THE DONUT FRIAR

Recently named the best donut shop in Tennessee by Southern Living Magazine, the Donut Friar is a local staple and longtime bringer of sweet, fried goodness to the Gatlinburg community. This cash-only business doesn't even have a website (only a Facebook page), yet you'll be hard pressed to find anyone within 50 square miles who hasn't heard of (or visited) it. You might think that donuts don't constitute a full breakfast, but with 30 varieties to choose from, along with fresh loaves of cinnamon bread and other seasonal treats, you'll be anything but hungry when you exit their doors. Come early, though; once your favorites are gone for the day, they're gone, and you most definitely won't want to miss out!
BRICK AND SPOON

Welcome to Brick and Spoon, a Pigeon Forge restaurant offering an upscale take on breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Influenced by the best of creole cuisine, they've elevated breakfast offerings to the next level! Build your own bloody mary with wide selections of vodkas, veggies, herbs and seasonings, meats and cheeses, and rim flavorings. To start, take a taste bud trip to The Big Easy and enjoy some delicious beignets (or have dessert for breakfast and check out the bananas foster). Omelets, pancakes, and french toast are offered in enough varieties that everyone can find something to suit their tastes. Maybe you're more of a breakfast tacos or shrimp and grits type; they've got those in abudance as well. Rounding it all out are three Benedict options, each melt-in-your-mouth good: traditional Benedict, chicken florentine Benedict, and bayou Benedict. Oh, and crab cakes. Did we mention the crab cakes?!
