We had a beary good time!!
1. Don't want to see bears? Don't stay here! I loved that we got to see a mama and cub and another bear the next day. However, because of this I did not sit outside on the beautiful balcony, or go in the hot tub. Others in the group did chill out there. And also definitely lock your car doors- food or not they will come and they can open them and they will go inside to inspect. 2. It is a bit older than the pictures suggest. The rugs, carpet, house itself is dated but has lots of charm. Which was fine by us, except the pool table room was a bit musty and needs a AC reno so we didn't want to hang in there. It is summer and hot and humid though. Winter is probably fine. 3. So many rooms and bathrooms! I loved it. Fit our group of 8 just fine. Beds are comfy, everything felt clean. Showers and tubs were nice. Loved the large kitchen space and the dining table. Felt like we had so much space. 4. The views are amazing. Perched up on the mountain with huge floor to ceiling windows to just relax on the cozy comfy couch with a book, loved it. Best part of the house. 5. Great location, close to everything! I do highly suggest this house, just as long as you are bear aware. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to share all of this feedback! We're glad you had such a great visit. Yes, bears do love Trillium...and most of our other properties as well! They're out and about in full force in the summer months, and you're wise to remind folks to lock their cars. It's really crazy how many times bears have gotten into guests' vehicles! They're cute...and smart. :) As for Trillium, it's a home that's been in the MLC family for quite a while, and it has a rich history and tons of family memories (it was originally a home owned by our founders, Dot and Ralph Egli). The heat in the summer makes even the most robust ACs work extra hard, and we're sorry it was a bit warm and stale in the game room. We'll definitely check, the AC out, but chances are it was a weather/outdoor temp issue. We've had a lot of those during this super-hot summer! We do agree about the views—Trillium has one of the best views in Gatlinburg. It's pretty stunning, isn't it?! Again, thanks for sharing your feedback, and we hope to be able to serve you again very soon!

My favorite MLC chalet
I think I will have to say Trillium Lodge is my favorite MLC chalet. We take an Autumn trip every year with our Best Mom and family. It is such a special time. Each trip has been packed full of special memories. There is nothing like walking out on the patio and checking out stars and watching the sun creep up over the mountains, with hot coffee or one of David’s Bloodies. We love sitting at the table on the patio eating an evening meal we prepared and just take in all the beauty of the Smokies. After a day in the park, we sit and talk, feet on the wall , or in the hot tub and watch the mountains put on a show. There have been days we never left the chalet, just enjoy the fall color coming on and watching the leaves fall and the clouds passing over. We have had several visits from bears. That’s always exciting!! I can’t pick one particular memory, they are all so special. But if I have to pick one, it would be the evening there was a parade of bears that walked through the property. They just kept coming. So many bears. There were mamas and cubs , little and big. It was so exciting. There’s nothing like family time in the Smokies. Thank you MLC for creating a home away from home where such special memories are made and shared!

Perfect for my family!
Overall the house was perfect for my family. This was our second year to stay at this location. I noticed some wear on the bathroom cabinets. Need some towel racks in bathroom or hooks? I think a larger refrigerator would be nice, there were 9 adults for our stay. I was very happy with bear sightings. We saw anywhere from 1 to three bears daily.

Four Generations Greatly Enjoyed Our Stay!
Our family including 4 generations greatly enjoyed our stay at Trillium Lodge and hope to return again some day. Trillium Lodge is in an excellent location close to attractions and amenities. Very well maintained and stocked with everything we would need for our stay. It is probably not your fault, but there were bouts of the internet and television service being out in the evening. These outages did not seem to be weather related because a storm came through and there were no issues. We did call customer service for an issue with lighting around the hot tub. Even though it was a Sunday two repairmen were there within the hour and everything was fixed promptly. Each day of our stay we saw multiple bears curiously looking in the windows of our cabin. They were very actively playing and just walked around the house and yard.

We had a great stay!
We had a great stay! The house was perfect for our family and we loved the layout. It was also really nice having access to the pools, courts, and playgrounds. Location was great with hiking near by. Our only critic would be to install some hooks in the bathrooms to hang your towels to dry. None of the bathrooms had enough places to hang your wet towel. It would have been nice to have some extra towels in the house. The kitchen was well stocked, only missing a cookie sheet.

Loved our stay
We loved our stay at Trillium Lodge. The house was spacious enough for three couples with young kids. The parking was great and left room for the kids to run around outside. The patio and the view were spot on! We have loved our easy experience with Mount Laurel Chalets! They are helpful and easy to work with. The only suggestion that we have is to include more trash bags in the home! 11 people create a lot of trash!! We can't wait to come back!

LOVED IT
We gathered 4 families for an amazing week in the Smokies. We loved Trillium Lodge - amazing mountain view, plenty of parking, easy access to nearby pools, and even got to see a black bear on the property.

Carole, Trillium Lodge is the perfect spot for family gatherings! Throw in a bear or two and you have the makings of a fun and adventurous remember to lock those car doors. We hope to see you again in the mountains soon.

Family vacation
Great location, nice views. The house needs to be deep cleaned and air circulation updated. Lots of dust. Cold in bedrooms and hot in family room at one time. The room with pool table smelled very moldy. Similar to other comments- needs 4 slice toaster, pool cues broken, grill ignition broken. But great floor plan for families with large kitchen and table.
Pamela C. - Posted: 7/10/2022
Thanks for the review and we are glad your family enjoyed their time at Trillium Lodge. The thermostat for the central heat and air is located in the hallway, so that does present challenges with the living area. The sun coming through the massive living room areas can quickly overhead the room and the air conditioning cannot keep up. It is best to close the blinds when the sun hits the windows and keep the ceiling fans on at all time. The musty smell in the game room was located in the wall heat/air unit and that has been taken care of by maintenance. The other issues you mentioned have also been addressed and we really appreciate your input. If we can ever assist you while you are here, please do not hesitate to contact the office. We hope to see you again soon.

Family Getaway in the Smoky Mountains
This ranch style lodge was perfect for us with 3 generations staying. 3 stairs to rec room with a door that closed to keep little ones off stairs. The place could use some maintenance. The pool table should be replaced along with 2 of 4 cue sticks. A fresh coat of paint would do wonders! We had difficulty with cooling...it was freezing in back bedrooms and sweltering in family room and kitchen. We suggested the fireplace wasn’t closed when we left and hopefully that takes care of issue. The view was absolutely amazing! We visited Ober Gatlinburg and enjoyed it. The 3 pools were very nice. The stairs going down out back need to be cleared for access. We would have enjoyed venturing out on the property, but not accessible. The hot tob was a nice bonus. The kitchen had everything you need. The towel exchange and ability to get additional soaps and garbage bags was a nice feature. The beds were super comfy. The furniture in family room needs to be updated, but it was comfortable.

Thanks for the review and we are glad your family enjoyed their time in the mountains at Trillium Lodge. The things you mentioned as suggestions for improvements have been passed along to the owner and he is planning to make some changes soon. The heat this summer has been brutal! We have found in houses with large picture windows, it is ideal to leave the blinds closed during the hottest part of the day to reduce the thermal heating in the living room and keep the ceiling fans on at all times. We have spare floor fans available at the office to be loaned out as well. Please let us know if you experience discomfort and we will do what we can to make your stay more comfortable. We look forward to hosting your family in the mountains again soon.

R Family vacation
We enjoyed the Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge very much. The scenery was spectacular and the views from the lodge patio were excellent. There were numerous activities for the entire family, but the mountain trails in Smokey Mountain National Park were the best. However, the Trillium Lodge is in need of a full updating. The kitchen was outdated, the great room was extremely warm (not enough vents in our view), and the carpet is reaching its time to be replaced by hard flooring. We had a great time and certainly plan to love back to the area in the future.
Anonymous - Posted: 6/19/2022
Thanks for your suggestions and we appreciate your ideas! The owner's of the home are planning another update very soon. The heat waves we experienced this summer presented challenges for the houses that had large walls of windows. Keeping the blinds closed and the ceiling fans on all the time seemed to be the best approach in the living room. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time in the Smoky Mountains and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Spring vacation family trip
Overall Trillium Lodge was perfect for our family plus grandparents trip! There was plenty of space to relax, eat together, etc. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was large and very well stocked (except it could use a 4 slot toaster or an additional toaster) . .
The view was beautiful and we really enjoyed our time in the game room and the hot tub! We do wish we could have used the fireplace through March as in the past as we definitely had some chilly weather.

Great views, great location, very roomy.
We had a great time playing pool, getting in the hot tub, enjoying the wonder view of the mountains from the living room window. Plenty of room to spread out with the four couples that were up for the weekend. On the interior, some signs of normal wear and tear could be seen, but nothing some paint and TLC can't fix. Beds were perfect and the kitchen well stocked (one of two coffee makers did not work, but everything else was fine). Only one issue - the firewood that we bought was likely still part of a tree last week - grass could not be greener. However, Mtn Laurel gave us some replacement packs of wood that were better. Great weekend.

Great place!
This is a great place to stay in a great location. A short drive to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It is tucked away from other houses, and the view is amazing. The house is very spacious, and the kitchen came stocked with everything we needed to cook with. We even had a bear on the patio! It would be great for a large family. The only complaint I have is it was a little dusty. We were sneezing a lot because there was a lot of dust on surfaces throughout the home.

Bears and views
The staff at the office was very friendly and hospitable. The View was fantastic and as advertised we saw Bears very close to the rental. There was some damage to some screens and woodwork, front bedroom windows had foil in them. Overall the rental was fairly clean especially as they were able to get us checked in early. We wish there was recycling. My bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well-equipped with just about everything necessary plenty of pots pans casserole dishes Etc. Wish the hot tub had an awning due to a rainy week.

2nd stay at Trillium
This is our 2nd stay at Trillium. Love the easy location to the bottom of Ski Mountain Road. Love the layout with 5 BR and 5 BA. Love the flat driveway with ample parking and space for corn hole. Bedrooms and bathrooms are in very good condition. All beds extremely comfortable. Hot tub worked well, a little dark on that side of cabin. Game room nice for kids/teens and watching ballgames from the hot tub. Game room could use fresh carpet and ceiling paint. Our extended family has used this management company for over 20 years and their customer service never disappoints. We had unfortunately left a few expensive items in the cabin, and the management company took the time to find everything and send it to us. Maintenance is very responsive. We put in an electronic ticket for lightbulbs to be replaced our first night and maintenance was there the next morning and fixed everything. This cabin usually books quick. Recommend.

Our family had a great vacation. The house is close to everything and the rental staff are awesome. Big enough for everyone. We really enjoyed the stay. The black Bear went by each day no problem we just obeyed the rules and no food in vehicles or to her.

Family return to Gatlinburg
Our family had many laughs and good times at Trillium.
We value renting from Mountain Laurel because we know the care the agency takes in its rentals. This one needs a check on AC distribution. The gas grill has only 1 burner and charcoal one is shot.
The one level worked well for those with walking issues. The kitchen was A+ great for ease of working and completeness of anything one needs for cooking/eating.
Next visit will be a multiple level home. We will check wi-fi and grills before we select as well as AC distribution.

Smoky Mountain High!
We had a wonderful few days at Trillium Lodge. We have stayed in Mt. Laurel Chalets before, but could never get Trillium as it was always booked the days we were looking for, so it was a special treat to stay there.
We did have a 'bear' experience we won't forget. My wife and I were on the stone patio overlooking the mountains, one evening, when we heard a slight rustling, and when we turned to look, there was a full grown black bear about 5 feet from us. Thankfully neither of us panicked or screamed, but quietly walked backwards away, came round the front and in the front door. The bear was rummaging around the tree line in the front for few minutes, so we got some good pictures. We've seen bears before but never that close!

We have been coming to Gatlinburg for approx. 35 years on a womens getaway. No kids or husbands. We have stayed at Trillium Lodge many times. It is a great chalet. Plenty of room and a nice floor plan. Last year we had a visit from a bear cub. We have used Mt. Laurel Chalets for all but one of our stays. Mt Laurel has a good condition standard for their chalets. As usual we have a wonderful time catching up with everyone.
FYI two of the ladies in our group own house/office cleaning businesses. This is a group rating.

Our Favorite Chalet
We've been booking our annual chick weekend thru Mtn Laurel for nearly 20 yrs now. Trillium was clean and comfortable, as usual. Showing some wear and tear, mainly in the game room. Some of us were lucky enough to see a bear visitor one morning, but unfortunately for the late arrivals, that was his only appearance. Our only complaint would be the WiFi - it's nonexistent in the back bedrooms/game room and less than 20 mbs in the main areas. Maybe a modem/router upgrade is in order? But a small hiccup in our lovely Derby party in the mountains!

Great rental experience
I stayed at Trillium along with 2 couples in April. We have been going to Gatlinburg yearly with only 2 exceptions since 2005 and have always stayed in a cabin managed by Mountain Laurel Chalets. They have always been very attentive to our needs including helping us once to find an available doctor needed while there. This was our second stay at Trillium and is the perfect place for us as we have aged. Also would be good for anyone wanting to avoid stairs. All 5 bedrooms and baths are on the same level and the parking lot is vast and level compared to most. The view is gorgeous! This year we had several visits from bears and they were beautiful and did not act in a predatory manner. We kept our doors locked, including cars and all went well.
Carole J. - Posted: 4/10/2021
Carole, it was great having you with us again! Trillium lodge is the perfect place for people who are challenged by stairs or small children. You give good advise about keeping the doors lock and we would add, look outside before opening the doors. The chalet is definitely in a high traffic area for bears, but they mostly just walk through. We look forward to your next visit and truly appreciate your continued loyalty.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are glad to hear your group had a great time at Trillum Lodge. Mr. Bear is a frequent visitor to this property and always a treat to see, but please remember to enjoy from inside and keep the doors to your car locked as they know how to open car doors. Being about 2 miles up on the mountain allows for beautiful views and privacy, while still being only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. We hope you can return to the Smokies again soon.

Also being all on one level work well with small children. I wish some room had better lighting. But the overall stay was wonderful. The lodge was clean and the kitchen had all the amenities that we need to cook with. We had a wonderful trip.

Beautiful view
The view was spectacular and the cabin had a ton of space. However, there were many issues with the condition of the house. There was a cracked window in one of the bedrooms, the lighting in the house was terrible, every single wall needs repainted, half of the hot tub jets did not work, and when we arrived one of the closet doors were broken off the tract and we fixed it ourselves. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but there definitely needs to be some improvement to the property condition. The view was mesmerizing and the location is a very quick drive to the strip. The water pressure and temperature was also great. I recommend this cabin as long as the cosmetics of the house are not important to you.

Everything was as described. The view was amazing. It snowed and we couldn't have asked for more. There was 9 adults & 3 kids and we all had plenty of room. The hot tub needs updated. It did not work well. Once that is fixed, we Will stay again.

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enojoyed your stay at Trillium Lodge. We have checked the hot tub and the tub functions as it should. If you are referencing the tear in the cover, the bear had just torn the cover and we had taped it back together until a new one could be made. That would not have affected the functionality of the hot tub at all. The new cover has since been installed and everything is back to right. We look forward to your next stay with us.

They took great care!
This was a wonderful company to deal with. This was a “last trip” for my wife that is terminally ill. I’ve stayed in one of the other properties before. I called out of desperation looking for a place that was accessible by wheelchair. They had the perfect place with a perfect view for my wife. She spent most of our time at the cabin on the patio looking at the mountains. The owner of the company heard about our story and came out as we were packing up to leave. He wanted to check on us, minister to us, and he even brought a little gift for my wife. Wonderful place and even better people running it!

Thank you for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Trillium Lodge was one of the first homes built on Ski even had a swimming pool back in the day! The new homeowners have remodeled the house several times and they are constantly working on improving the property, but there is one thing that will never change, THE VIEW! The privacy of the large lot and the convenient location to downtown and the fact that the main living area and bedrooms are on one level make it a very popular choice for larger groups and families. The bears are always a fun surprise and quite abundant with our close proximity to the national park, but please always remember to lock your car doors! The large windows in the living room are a great place to safely observe all the wildlife that comes around from time to time. We hope to see you in the mountains again soon.

Wonderful family vacation
My husband and I invited our sons and their families. The five bedrooms worked out great. The game room was great for the kids. The place was clean and the kitchen well stocked. Twice while sitting on the back patio my husband and I were interrupted by a bear. The one time was a close encounter but then we always wanted to see a bear in the wild. Everyone had a great time and we will be back and hopefully rent this same cabin. We do have a couple of suggestions though. The towel rack in the one king suite still needs to be added and a hook on the back of the bathroom door for clothes would be nice as well. The door on the first bedroom would not close. My husband fixed that. Also the sewer smell was pretty bad on the driveway near the grills. All and all it was a very nice cabin.

Home Away from Home
We had to postpone our annual spring chick weekend due to COVID, but rescheduled for August. So we were very ready for a change of scenery (and beautiful scenery it is!). Trillium was the cleanest I have ever seen it and we appreciated the no contact check-in and checkout. It's our preferred chalet due to the single story, many bedrooms and baths. This trip did not disappoint. We had a bear visitor every day and he really put on a show for us (apparently hot tub covers are delicious!). All in all, we had a safe, relaxing and much needed getaway. Our only complaint would be that the wifi really needs an upgrade - High Speed it is not (outages and repeated buffering).

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay at Trillium Lodge. The layout of the chalet is very convenient being all on one level, except for the game room. The bears have been very active this year and we have replaced more than a few hot tub covers because of it. You will be happy to know that Spectrum is planning an upgrade for the internet service for our area. It will be going from 200 mbps to 400 mbps, so will be much faster. We hope to hear from you again soon.

Trillium Lodge review
Nine of us stayed during the pandemic. We had a great time- hiked in the park, used the pools, and enjoyed grilling and relaxing at Trillium lodge. Place was clean, very spacious and perfect for our group. Kitchen was very well stocked. Loved the pool table. agree with previous reviewers-small detail but a towel rack in one of the king suite bathrooms would be great and is needed. Beautiful views, saw mama bear and her cubs-she drank from the fountain outside the place. would definitely recommend!

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your time at Trillium Lodge and found everything you need to have some quality time away with friends and family during the pandemic. The rock water feature in the driveway was not intended to be a bear drinking fountain, but the bears have other ideas and we are happy to oblige. Always remember to lock your car doors, however, because they are curious and will climb right inside. We will check into getting a towel bar for the king bath and thanks for that suggestion. We hope to see you again soon.

Nice place, but renter beware....
This is one of the most beautiful locations we’ve ever stayed at in Gatlinburg. The view is absolutely spectacular!! A lot of tourists actually stop by the end of the driveway to take photos. If your wanting a view this is the place to go. The home was plenty large enough for our family of 7, and dinner guest. Upon our arrival, while checking out the house I noticed one of the sinks (in the bathroom with a walk in shower) was stopped up. No big deal and not much they could do until there’s not a rental for a few days. No problem, there’s plenty more sinks. Being in the mountains, understand that you are in bear country. One thing you must absolutely understand is that there’s a long time visiting bear (the management have a name for him). They will not warn you about this but he visits FREQUENTLY...daily...he sleeps on the patio. With 5 kids, and 2 under the age of 5, it would have been nice to know this. He broke into our van, bit a hole in the hot tub cover and stayed on the property our whole second day. We couldn’t go outside to enjoy anything at all. This was a bit of a bummer and we were honestly ready to just leave because of this. He has two tags, according to police and locals he’s tagged as a nuisance in this area because he won’t leave people alone. Noise doesn’t bother him. I was sitting on the stone wall out front and luckily my sister noticed him sitting about 3 feet away from me and told me to get inside. Too close for comfort! Lol. I honestly hope people read the reviews. If you want to be outside, I would NOT consider this location. A company that’s named a bear should leave a disclaimer so families know that there’s a bear that’s known to sleep there. (Don’t give me the your in bear country crap because I already know that) I just find it crazy that they know this bear is a daily visitor. Not a good place for children to be outside. My last complaint, the house air conditioner takes so long to cool off the front half of the house. It was so hot in the living room no one wanted to hardly sit in there. The bedrooms however cooled off just fine. The game room was nice; there’s supposed to be a radio or something back there but there wasn’t. Just turn the music on the tv and play some pool! Keep your doors lock and dead bolted so their friendly bear doesn’t decide to come in; and stay inside. Watch yourself because there’s one male, and a cub that comes with him or not far behind DAILY! As much as we loved the view, and the home we will find a different place next time. The management is great and we would gladly rebook a different property in the future through Mtn Laurel Chalets. Just not this particular lodge. The kids were scared to death to go outside.

One of Our Best Family Vacations EVER!!!
Our family stayed 8 nights, & we absolutely loved it!! The best part for us was everything being on one level, except for the game room which was only a few steps down. The house was perfect for small children running around! The mountain views were spectacular from the patio as well as the living room!! We especially appreciated such beautiful views without having to go all the way up the mountain. We noticed many vehicles would stop in front of the chalet to take a pic! The best part of all was the bear sightings!! We had two encounters at the chalet & several along the roadside going into town & heading up to the pool. The kitchen was well stocked, & everything was very clean. We did see a few spiders, however, but that was probably expected since we may have been some of the first guests arriving after the COVID lockdown.

We had a wonderful time at the Trillium and the Mtn. Laurel Chalet staff were very nice and accommodating. No complaints on the Trillium. It was very comfortable and roomy. Location was perfect. It was also nice that everything was on one level so no stairs to navigate. We had visits from many bears over the week, so grilling out was a challenge. 2 Adult females, 2 adult males and 7 different cubs. I would recommend that anyone staying here keep an eye out for bears since they would round the corner of the patio at any time and they did not announce their presence. One large female liked to take naps on the back patio. If you spend time on the back patio, keep the door open going to the pool room so you can make a quiet escape if needed. Would recommend again.

Thank you Eddie for the heads up on the bear activity. They are docile animals and don't tend to disturb you but make every effort not to provoke or entice them. The cubs are so cute and their momma bears are pretty protective of them. Watching from a distance (inside) is the best option! Trillium Lodge on 8.5 acres is a favorite spot for guests and bears alike! Hope to see you again at Mountain Laurel Chalets. We sure appreciate your repeat business over the many years.

Family Vacation
Excellent location and lodging. My family and I loved the view and the amenities. Location was close to downtown but also very private. Easy access to town, Clingman's Dome, and other sights without getting caught in all the traffic. Spectacular views! Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Smoky Mountains.

Great house with the most amazing view
We loved this house! It was perfect for our group of 3 families. Our kids loved the house so much, they never wanted to leave. The huge kitchen and dining room accommodated us well. I cannot imagine a house with a better view. Everything was just a short drive away. We had a family of bears (mom and 4 cubs) visit us twice.

I would definitely stay at this property again!

Great Stay at Trillium Lodge
We had a fantastic stay at Trillium lodge and would highly recommend this as a rental. We were in the area with family to do some hiking. View from this location is spectacular. Perfect for Two Families
This cabin was everything we wanted. We had a few requirements for our stay in Gatlinburg. We needed a big cabin that worked for 10 people, we wanted to be isolated in the woods so we were not on top of another cabin, we wanted to be a close drive to downtown, and we wanted views of the mountains. This cabin gets 10/10 for me on those four. The views of the Smoky Mountains from the living room and patio are beautiful. We loved spending time on the patio in the mornings and evenings. The kids loved playing outside catching fireflies at night too! We saw bears twice--one even got in my friends car since he forgot to lock it! My only complaint is that the back room with the pool table smells a little musty, but not a big deal.

Dooley family vacation
Grandparents, children and grandchildren celebrating 70th birthday and Mother's Day. So.e arrived late, some left early. Would have extended for 1 more day due to rain ending and we could have enjoyed a beautiful day. Price was prohibitive for just 4 people so we had to move even though Trillium was available.
Staff I dealt with was very pleasant but general manager was not.

Spring Break 2019
We had a great time in this cabin with our kids and grandkids. We stayed and “manned” the cabin and the kids took their kids each day for different activities. We all made lots of memories. We took our own towels and paper products and never had to visit the office (although they were very friendly at check in/out). The ONLY complaint would be the hot tub. The water was dirty and low on chlorine in the basket. If it is a deal maker/breaker, you need to make that known upfront.
Sonya R. - Posted: 3/23/2019
Glad your stay with us was enjoyable and that the memories you made will last a lifetime. Next time please call us with any problems or concerns. We would have gladly sent someone to clean your hot tub and check chlorine levels. Hope to see you again!

Our Favorite Chalet
Our group stays here every October. Great view and convenient. Have done some updates inside and out. The only complaint I have is the kitchen was not updated and is not well equipped at all. Super Old cookware and utensils are not in good shape. Bringing our own kitchen necessities next year.

Beautiful Chalet with scenic View
This place is excellently located just outside of the Smokies. The Chalet has very stunning view of the Smokies valley. Gatlinburg downtown is just 5 min away. The Chalet is very well furnished with all amenities. You will not be disappointed.

The property management does not retain any unused but not perishable goods like oil, salt, pepper etc. So be prepared to buy everything. Even silver foil was not there. I don't think it will hurt to keep/provide these kitchen essentials.

Family Getaway
We had a wonderful family vacation. My elderly parents and three adult children with spouses. The five bedrooms allowed for plenty of personal space, with the kitchen, living room and game room as common areas. Loved the view and the hot tub. Single floor plan was perfect for those using walkers. The only down fall, is the beds were too high, we had to purchase small step stool for my parents to get into bed.

Best View in the Smokies
When we arrived and saw the view of the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg from the front of the rental, we were overwhelmed. The view of the rental from the outside is deceiving - there is more than enough room inside. The 5 bedrooms are all spacious. The 5 bathrooms are ample. The kitchen is huge and functional. The game room was a highly frequented area:)
We are planning to return in 2019 with family that was not able to make the 2018 trip, and are confident that this rental will be more than enough to meet our needs.

We loved the location and view was spectacular. House was spacious with plenty of room for our family. Enjoyed hot tub and pool table. A few maintenance issues need attention: bathrooms need towel easy fix; kitchen cabinet doors don’t all close properly and water pressure is weak in some bathrooms. House was superficially clean but needs cleaning under furniture occasionally. Staff was very responsive and professional. Our family agreed that this was one of the best locations and best vacations we have ever had.

Family Weekend Getaway
Awesome experience!! First time seeing Georgia Black Bear out of eight mountain vacations. He came to the front door. Then proceeded to check out each vehicle. Fortunately, everyone was in safe after grilling. We named the bear Al after my brother in law who took fabulous shots a safe distance away to share with family and friends. Beautiful setting and views. Trillium Lodge is an excellent place to stay. Awesome layout and bedding to make it a private and comfortable stay.

Few recommendations: Great Room furniture upgrade needed. Lodge is due for extensive cleaning and a few minor repairs. Otherwise, highly recommended.

My mom and my cousins (3generations this year) took our annual Girls weekend in Gatlinburg. It was fantastic! The entire experience from booking to checking out was so easy. The folks at Mtn Laurel Chalet were so helpful, kind and genuinely cared. They made sure our stay was perfect, and it was. The house couldn’t have been better. My first vacation rental. I did research and chose a property with a good number of reviews that were mostly positive. I was still nervous if the property would match the description.

It did, and then some. The place was EXACTLY as described. The rental process and company that took care of it were great to say the least.

I can't say enough positive things about the property or my experience with them.

The property itself was spacious and a great location. It was only a mile or so from downtown Gatlinberg, but far enough up in the hills to have privacy and serenity. We had a wonderful family vacation and would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to Tennessee.

This cabin was phenomenal! Every room had it's own bathroom and each was very newly renovated and spotless. The layout of the house was great. The bedrooms were all away from the living areas so if you have sleeping kids, the were far from the noise. Huge dining table could accommodate a large group and the great room was so cozy! Beds were comfy and the whole place was clean. And let's talk about the view! I really don't think it could get much better! If I go back to Gatlinburg, I will be staying at this place again!

This is an awesome place to stay, only one floor so no steps for older folks. We shopped on Thursday and it began snowing Thursday night and quit on Saturday morning. So beautiful and quiet. With 5 bedrooms and five bathrooms it's an awesome place. My mother is 82 and her BFF is 76 and they had so much fun. We had a load of firewood delivered on Wednesday, the day we arrived and left just a little for the next guests. The fireplace was great.

Our family has been to gatlinburg probably 20 times. This is the best view we have ever had! Annual Chick Weekend
We've booked our annual (sometimes more often) getaways with Mtn Laurel for over 17 yrs now and Trillium Lodge is our favorite chalet. It was still undergoing a few renovations from the fire/smoke damage, so there were some very small hiccups and the maintenance staff was quick to respond to our minor requests (lightbulbs, stuck doors, etc.). The chalet was spotlessly clean and the perfect accommodations for our group. As always, we had a wonderful time.

A great place for our 3 generations to gather for a some time together. The single level is wonderful for the grandchildren. The location is relatively secluded and yet, it's not far to town. Nice location on the mountain with a good view. Shared pool facility was a benefit.
First time in gaitliberg, not really my sort of town and I suspect we would not return but be had a nice weekend overall. Saw a bear outside the house which was memorable.
Trillium is a little worn and is in need of an update but was basically ok. Thought it was expensive for the standard of the accomadation.

Honest Review
This was a very comfortable chalet with a great view. The common area was big enough to accommodate our group of 8. We had problems with just a couple of small things. One burner and knob on the stove did not work, the refrigerator was left on coldest setting, freezing soft drinks on top shelf so they exploded, and one drawer in the fridge was broken. As we are not tall people the furniture in the living room was a little large and although this sounds funny, the commodes in several bedrooms were very low as if they were for small children.

Trillium Lodge Was Perfect for Our Family
Trillium Lodge was perfect for our family. All the other chalets we have rented in the Smokies have been multi-level. Trillium Lodge is one level with the exception of the game area. With 5 grandchildren, that is a big plus. Although the chalet has obviously been there for quite a while, it is tastefully decorated and well kept. It was clean, comfortable, and roomy. There is parking for at least 3 to 4 cars. The stone patio is private with one of the best views of the mountains we have experienced at a chalet. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the quiet. As you look over the stone wall, you begin to realize that there were once terraced flower and shrub beds on the hillside leading to the closed and well covered pool below. As I stood on the stone patio and looked out at the mountains, I imagined how beautiful it must have been before the underbrush began to retake the hillside below. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I highly recommend it especially if there are younger or older folks in the group. It's just a great place to stay.

Trillium Stay in June 2014
The place was awesome, although I have to admit we were not sure what we were getting into from the outside picture. Just goes to show you should never judge what is on the outside of anything. The view was awesome. The rooms in the house was great and so clean. The kitchen was the best equipped from others that we have stayed in. We truly enjoyed out week there and even had a bear visit us on the patio. A true thrill for all of us to see so close up. The location was perfect, not too far up the hill but gave a great view. And of course, the hiking was wonderful. I would highly recommend the Trillium whom had lots of people to sleep. It was perfect!

Moved
We rented another cabin and the air went out so we were moved to Trillium Lodge. It was very nice and we plan on staying there again. The rental company was very helpful during the whole process and worked with us getting from one cabin to the next.

Mountain Get-away
This was our fourth time to stat at the Trillium. We love it. The view is beautiful and the home is spacious, well maintained and furnishings lovely. We do recommend having instructions for the TV and DVD player in the unit - we had to call maintenance for help and they were great. That info could easily be put in the binder on the table or just with the remote.
