Booking and Cancellation Policies
If you run into a problem during your stay, please call and let us know how we can address the issue. In the event that a major repair is needed, we will need to relocate you to another property. Be assured, this will be the great exception and most certainly not the norm as we regularly inspect all of our homes in order to avoid last-minute suprises.

STANDARD RESERVATIONS
-There are no check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day as our office is closed. You must provide a credit card to secure this reservation request. At the time of booking you are required to pay the administrative fee along with a 50% deposit; the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. Each reservation is subject to a non-refundable administrative fee which varies depending on the size of the house.
-If you do not want to use your credit card online, you must call the office to make the reservation. Rates are subject to change without notice. Confirmed reservation rates will be honored.
PAYMENTS
-Remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. If you do not wish to use the same credit card you made your reservation with you must contact us. Otherwise the credit card you provided will be charged automatically. We accept MONEY ORDERS, PERSONAL CHECKS, VISA, Discover, MasterCard, or AMERICAN EXPRESS. No personal check accepted less than 45 days prior to arrival. Returned checks are automatically forwarded to a collection agency with an additional $39.00 fee added for collection.
CANCELLATIONS (WITHOUT PEACE OF MIND PLAN)
-In case of cancellation, there will be no refunds if you are inside your cancellation period. Cancellation periods are as follows: 1-4 bedrooms require a 30 day notice. 5-8 bedrooms, 6 weeks’ notice. 12 bedrooms, 12 weeks’ notice. If you are outside your cancellation period you will receive a 90% refund minus the administrative fee or 100% credit to another reservation. If proper notice is not given as indicated, the deposit will be forfeited. You will be allowed to make one change in your dates or chalet at no charge with required notice. After that, you will be charged $ 50.00 for each additional change. No changes are allowed if you are inside your cancellation period.
PEACE OF MIND PLAN DETAILS
*Plan must be purchased at time of booking.
-For just 10% of the rent and administrative fee, Mountain Laurel Chalets will refund the entire amount of payments already made, minus the cost of the guarantee (within plan guidelines). This optional plan allows the purchaser to cancel up to 15 days from check-in for 1-4 bedroom properties and 60 days for 5+ bedrooms. For cancellations providing more than the allowed 15 or 60-day options, Mountain Laurel Chalets will refund the entire amount of payments made, minus the cost of the plan (10% of the reservation total). For cancellations made inside the allowed time frames, when the cancellation period has expired, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in the same property within one year but no monies will be refunded. Rebooked stays will be at the current rate for the property and no monies will be refunded if the rebooked stay is less than the canceled stay. With a reschedule, all payments from the canceled stay, less the cost of the originally purchased plan, will be transferred to the rebooking, and regular booking terms apply. You will be allowed to purchase the plan (an additional 10% of the reservation total) for one rebooking only; thus allowing you to reschedule your reservation for another year. If you purchase the plan for your rebooked reservation and you cancel, you will NOT be refunded; you will simply be offered a one-year reschedule option that begins on the date of cancellation. Any funds not applied to a stay occurring within the one-year period will be forfeited. All reschedules are required to re-book the same rental property. No blackouts are applicable. No plan is available for purchase after a second reschedule, and any funds held after one year from the second reschedule will be forfeited. It is your responsibility to ensure the stay is within the one-year time frame. Plan costs are non-refundable. If you opt not to purchase The Plan, no refunds are offered beyond those in our regular cancellation policy (90% of rent paid, less fees and applicable taxes dependent on size of rental unit - please see rental agreement for further information). Absolutely no refunds will be issued for early departures for any reason, including (but not limited to) weather, road conditions, power, heating/cooling, and personal emergencies. We are not responsible for such occurrences, and cannot be held responsible for them.
RESTRICTIONS
-We allow no weddings, wedding receptions, Graduation Parties, Group parties, House parties. All reservations must be made by someone at least 21 years of age who is staying in the chalet.
