When staying at one of our Gatlinburg cabins and chalets, some guests like to eat in as much as possible to save money, enjoy their family and of course to enjoy the views of the mountains.
Where should you shop for groceries? Some of our guests shop for all of their groceries at home and pack them up in coolers and bags and bring them with to their Gatlinburg vacation. That way you get exactly what you need to make the perfect meals. Others choose to shop in town. We would like to recommend two options for those choosing to buy their groceries in Gatlinburg.
- Gatlinburg Food City is a well equipped and reasonably proced option that will allow you to get fresh meat, produce, dairy and just about every grocery item you can imagine. It is a short drive up 321 from stoplight 5 in Gatlinburg. It is open from 6am-12am and they also have a bakery and deli which serves hot meals. Food City participates in Instacart and you can have your food deleivered directly to your cabin after you arrive.
- Pigeon Forge Publix in the Valley Forge Shopping Center is perfect If you are driving through Pigeon Forge on your way to Gatlinburg, we recommend stopping at the new Publix which has everything you could possibly need. Want to order ahead for curbside pick up or delievery to your chalet? Publix participates in a delievery and pick up service through instacart as well. The fresh new store has everythign from bakery, hot meals, sushi, deserts and tolietry items. They cater to the vacation tourist with small portions and custom prepared meals, seasoned meats and even all the coolers, and picnic supplies you could want.
- Pigeon Forge Food City is the newest option in the area. Located off Teaster Lane, this store ncludes an in-store bakery/deli, complete with a hot food bar, large 30+ café seating area and gourmet cheese case. Full service meat and seafood departments will offer pre-marinated and seasoned oven ready products, plus a complete selection of top quality meats that are all-natural with no solutions added, including Certified Angus Beef. In-house meat cutters will hand cut steaks and fresh meat to order. As with the Gatlinburg location, Gas and Go is also provided to fill up your tank. Make sure to request a Food City card for discoutned prices and credits to gas.
- Pigeon Forge Kroger is a staple for locals and is known for lower prices on many occasions. A Kroger Plus card will get you the best prices and credit at the gas tank. Specialty prepared meals, a full service bakery and deli will make your vacation meals just as good as home. Stop there for a Starbucks or full service floral department. Located at 220 Wears Valley Road it is easy to access when shopping at the Outlets or heading into Gatlinburg from Pigeon Forge.
