You’ll hear us say it on repeat: at Mountain Laurel Chalets, we believe that family matters. The family is the core of both our company and society as a whole. The MLC family is composed of our staff, guests, and owners alike. We desire to love and serve each person with kindness, extra-mile care, and selflessness. We remain imperfect and will never get it right all of the time, but we strive to honor our greater family in all we do.
The owners of Cottage View for 2 recently sent us a note regarding their experience with Mountain Laurel Chalets. We’ve been their management company for decades, and I can say with certainty that we’ve succeeded in welcoming the Whisnants to our family. An excerpt from their letter follows:
“We moved to Gatlinburg in 1982 and built our full-time residence in Chalet Village North. I was a real estate broker who specialized in Chalet Village sales as well as building rental houses. We tried several different rental companies, and when we found Mountain Laurel Chalets, we quickly realized we had the best company possible. Now it’s 2023 and we are still with them.
We are not just a number with MLC; we are all family. They care about us and taking care of our property. We can travel and not worry about problems that could arise with the house.
I will give you an example of their quickly handling a problem that could have been a disaster. December ‘22 was an extremely cold month. On a Sunday evening, a water pipe burst at our rental property. Because of the attention and quick action of the MLC staff, the water to the house was quickly turned off. Early next morning, they had a plumber at the house and he quickly repaired the pipe. We had guests checking in that day, and because of Mountain Laurel Chalets’ quick care we did not lose a reservation.”
Stories like this are what get us out of bed in the morning. We don’t always know what lies ahead, but we do know who we will face the future with–our family.
