Cozy Creek Cottage

This is our 2nd stay @ Cozy Creek Cottage and we plan our 3rd visit next year. We LOVE this Charming Chalet, so cozy and warmly decorated. Love being next to the Office, popping in to visit Tom Goodwin, Kay King and Kelly, my new friend also, a shout out to Chris in the Office as well. Mtn. Laurel Chalets is the best around, we continue to come since 1985, that is a lot of Chalets we have stayed in with Mtn. Laurel Chalet's! Best Company in Gatlinburg. Enough said! I could write a book! LOVE everything.....Can't wait to come back next Year to Cozy Creek Cottage, there is no view but the Chalet is Perfect without the view........Pam Kesse & Family......Cincinnati, Ohio.

My sister and I take my boys to Gatlinburg every year. She and I would go as kids many moons ago. Cozy Creek Cottage was absolutely perfect. I think we’ve found the place we’ll continually return too. Peaceful and close to town. We highly recommend it!!!

This cabin was just lovely! My 3 sisters and I have stayed in many different cabins in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but this was our favorite. We absolutely loved the firepit and the babbling brook!! It was so clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. This cottage is calling our names and we will be back! And Pam is definitely a great asset to this company!

The chalet was beautiful and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay but will probably stay longer next time. The only thing I would recommend is a blow dryer. Hotels have them so I didn't think to pack one.

The perfect little house nestled into the mountains. We had the best time. We will definitely be back. Sitting on the back porch listening to the creek and drinking our morning coffee, was the perfect start to our mornings. We got a surprise visit from a bear walking through the back yard and up the creek. It was an amazing vacation.

This cabin was amazing! It was absolutely beautiful. Great location. Beautifully decorated. CLEAN!! Very clean. Well stocked kitchen, linens were very nice and comfortable bedding/beds, layout of cabin was great...I could go on and on. We will be staying here again!

The response time was fantastic. Called on Friday morning to report only 3 coffee cups in cabin. When we returned that evening, there was a bag hanging on the door with 6 new coffee cups. The cinnamon bread and birthday note for my husband were an unexpected and appreciated surprise. Our daily 'bear' visit provided great entertainment. The view from the cabin was amazing. Only small issues with the cabin which did not affect our enjoyment. The underbrush around the deck could use some cutting back(vines growing through the deck boards).

Very close to shopping and dining. Roku TVs were a nice touch. Would have liked to have cushions on dining chairs. Right on main road, yet noise was not bad, Hot tub was in good spot and had privacy. Nice Fire Pit and Barbecue area off of rear deck. Was very close to Rental Office.

Hello we liked the Cozy Creek Cottage very much. The location fit our needs being close to downtown Gatlinburg yet far enough away. It was a cozy cottage being close to the babbling brook listening to the water run down the creek. The tv chairs slid on the floor when you would sit down if you were not careful. We found one stadium chair broken when we arrived and the door and window shades were not in the best operational condition. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you

Our stay with Mtn. Laurel Chalets is the BEST as always in our past rentals since 1985, which is a lot of Chalets we have stayed in over the years. Lovely Farmhouse decor inside with a warm family setting. Beds are so very comfortable and Kay King is a gem! She helps with our chalet selections every year. The Office is decorated beautifully for Christmas as well as the Chalet. Loved being next to the Office, so handy. Everything was just perfect. Loved the Gas Fireplace and the sound of the Creek out back, nice decks with super nice furniture. LOVE it! My new favorite house. I want to come back to again. May I add a Good Luck to Cheryl Ryan who we spent some time with @ the Office, she will be missed as she retires from Mountain Laurel Chalets. This was our second time to stay here. We do love this cottage and it's convenience, but we were disappointed to see that minor repairs that it needs here and there had not been done since our last stay. We really can't understand why the owner has left the vinyl plank floor unfinished all around the edges. It could be a trip hazard for some going up and down the stairs, where the problem is worse. It makes one wonder their thinking on such a neat little place. More to love than not though for us. We really like being able to build a fire outside in the fire pit. I bring seasoned fire wood from home, but i did see a few small bundles under the back porch. Just bring some charcoal starter. Two large masters, 2.5 baths and gas logs. We recommend this cottage for a couple or two couples. Make sure to bring a hair dryer. We really like Mt Laurel Chalets. Very friendly and professional people.

We could have only been happier if we’d had more time! The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed. I surprised my husband with this trip for his birthday and we were not disappointed! We loved how close this cabin was to downtown Gatlinburg! The check-in process was easy and all staff were very kind! It’s a 5 minute drive to park downtown. We parked at the city parking deck behind Ripley’s ($10/day) so we could bypass all the Parkway traffic by taking River Rd going back to the cabin at night.

We felt at home in the property and it was the perfect size for 2-4 people. The cabin is more modern than other cabins in the area, which we loved! It was very clean when we checked-in. Both bedrooms have king beds and large walk-in showers. Although this property is next to the leasing office and Ski Mtn. Rd it is very quiet and relaxing! There’s a creek in the back that you hear over any cars that drive by if you’re relaxing on the deck, at the fire pit, or in the hot tub!

The property has a welcome binder with information about the area and restaurant recommendations. We went to several restaurants: The Peddler, The Park Grill, Gatlinburg Brewing, Smokey Mountain Brewing, Trish’s Mountain Diner, Atrium Pancakes, Crockett Breakfast Camp, Log Cabin Pancake House. Best lunch/dinner was at The Park Grill. Best breakfast was at Log Cabin Pancake House.

The Gatlinburg Sky Lift led to the Sky Bridge which is unique, but we enjoyed Ankeesta more for the Tree Top Skywalk, gardens, coffee, and restaurants. If you like aquariums the Ripley Aquarium was great! They have Penguin and Stingray feeding times which were interesting to watch. For Mini Golf we liked the Hillbilly Golf course. For whiskey, we preferred Ole Smokey Moonshine. For wine, we loved Goodwater Wine because it wasn’t as sweet as the other wine companies on the Parkway. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s a Zip Line company, ClimbWorks, that’s a 30-minute drive from the cabin. It was beautiful, safe, and fun. If you want to go look up their requirements and book a time online!

This home was amazing! Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, comfortable, lots to do in your down time after coming back from the strip. I would definitely rent this home again. It was a little close to the road however made it an easy walk to the strip.

This chalet is a favorite for so many and the extra sound proof insulation used in construction allows the guests to not even think about traffic on the road and the proximity to the office and downtown makes this a great option for those wanting to be close but away from downtown. This cabin is a MUST STAY in Gatlinburg. It is super close to Parkway and the National Park! The cabin was extremely clean and the office was really helpful in getting us extra supplies when we ran out. The hot tub was in spectacular condition and was super nice after a long hike. I definitely recommend this cabin!!

We Loved our stay in Cozy Creek Cottage! My husband and I planned a short stay in Gatlinburg during early January and chose Cozy Creek Cottage. The location was perfect, although a little too far of a walk to downtown for us. However, we didn't mind driving to downtown as there was plenty of parking during the week. We enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen as we chose to cook a couple of days. The fireplace was our Favorite! We definitely used it every night, especially with the temps in the 20's! Overall, we would certainly choose to stay here again on our next Gatlinburg vacation!

This new chalet is convenient to downtown, but maybe more of a walk than you were expecting because it's all Up Hill! There is a trolley stop half way, but there are also plenty of parking lots on the upper end of town that you can get to easily and quickly. Having your own kitchen is a great way to practice social distancing and saves you money on eating out. There is nothing better than a nice fire on a cold night. We hope you can return soon.

Our experience could not have been better. The location of this house allowed for easy access to the GSMNP-which is where we spent all of our time. The house was spotless and provided everything we needed. The rental company did a great job of communicating the COVID regulations and processes. We will be back to stay again!

Thanks for the review and we are glad Cozy Creek Cottage provided the perfect place for your vacation. The National Park is actually across the street! But, the main entrance is 1/4 mile down the mountain at the traffic light. We are all in this mess called COVID together and we will be glad when it is behind us and we can get back to normal. We miss interacting with our guests at the office. We hope you are able to come back soon.

All was good, very clean and all items needed were provided. Beds very comfortable and entire house very comfortable. Few things that should have been addressed but not a big deal, battery was needed in the clock, light bulbs were out in upstairs bathroom. I know minor things but things that should have been addressed when noticed by the cleaning crew. Also the door going into upstairs bathroom would not shut due to striker plates not lining up and light switch cover would not cover the oversized hole (possible safety hazard). The stairs were not finished off with flooring couldn't understand why this was not finished made the stairs look very tacky. Beautiful porch on back with hot tub was very nice along with the beauty of the interior of the cabin, very farmhouse looking. Loved the furnishings in all of the rooms, loved the kitchen. Even though it was very close to the road you really didn't hear traffic coming and going. I would stay again just need to address a few issues, you pay this much for a property and you expect it to be perfect. All in all a much needed and enjoyable trip to Gatlinburg.

While it is close enough to walk, coming back home is all uphill, so not for everyone. There is a trolley stop about half way that would make the climb a little easier. This was my first time experiencing a cabin trip and I must say it did not disappoint. The cabin was everything and more! Clean, spacious, and close to EVERYTHING. The back porch was great with the stream and rocking chairs. I had a blast! I didn't mind the property being down the hill. It's perfect for those who are 1st timers.

We love first-timer's because once you've experienced a cabin, there's no going back! Cozy Creek Cottage is in a great spot to quickly access downtown Gatlinburg or the entrance to the National Park, but also offers the privacy of a cabin with it's own creek. Please keep us in mind the next time you plan a trip to the Smokies.

The creek in back was great, opened the back doors each morning to listen. Parking was okay. We wanted some lose to town to walk and avoid parking hassles, this was a bit too far for that but we would rent again. Home was spacious and clean. Only improvement would be more comfortable chairs in the living room. Beds were okay, very firm.

There is plenty of parking at the chalet, but you have to be in pretty good shape to walk, or rather walk back from, downtown Gatlinburg at the bottom of the hill. The matching master suites made us feel equally special and the fireplace was perfect for our February visit! The house was as beautiful as it is in the photos and very clean! This is my 5th time staying with Mountain Laurel Chalets and 1st time in Cozy Creek Cottage. It was very nice and decorated perfectly. I felt right at home. It is at the bottom of the mountain which is convenient to downtown but no view. The creek in the backyard was a nice touch while being in the hot tub. Overall it is my favorite cabin/cottage that i’ve stayed in with Mnt Laurel.

We absolutely loved staying at the Cozy Creek Cottage! The home was beautifully decorated and smelled like a new build. We also loved the location! During our stay, we spent our days hiking in the National Park, and it was so nice to have a short drive from the NP entrance and short ride into Gatlinburg for dinner at night. I loved not having to drive up into the mountains to get 'home'. The back of the house has a lovely long covered porch next to a creek, which was nice to listen to, and we loved the hot tub at the end of each day to help our sore muscles from hiking. The home is also conveniently right across from the check-in office so it was easy to change out towels. Overall, I highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the Smoky Mountains.

We have stayed her 3 times and as usual it was awesome. The location makes its very easy to access either Gatlinburg or access to the bypass. There is a creek in the back yard that gives it a very private feel. As usual Mt Laurel does an aura or job. We have been using them for many many years and their customer surface is consistently awesome.

Very relaxing clean cottage. The only two complaints no inside tub and living room area sofa was comfortable, the two outside chairs were not for watching TV.

Thanks for the review. The bathrooms are described in detail on the website, so I encourage you to keep your needs in mind when choosing a chalet and, if you need a tub, there are tons of choices. This was the perfect place for the three of us! The home is truly warm and welcoming. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the sound of the creek running by. Everything about the home has been well thought out to take into consideration every need a guest might have. Another huge convenience for those who aren’t particularly fond of driving up the mountain is the closeness to downtown Gatlinburg, which is just a few blocks away!

Awesome accommodations. Conveniently located near Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands visitor center of Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Beautifully decorated and clean unit. Hot tub and gas fireplace make it wonderfully relaxing.

Had a wonderful stay in Cozy Creek Cottage!! The Mountain Laurel Staff were exceptional..very friendly and accommodating. We wanted a rental that was different than the standard "log cabin"" and this newer home was perfect! Two identical King Size Bedrooms with en suites made it the perfect home for two couples. There's no mountain view as the home sits on the main road and is at the base of the mountain in Gatlinburg - but that also means you can get anywhere much faster w/o driving down the winding mtn roads. Just 3 suggestions for owner: *Add full length mirrors to bedrooms or bathrooms (for us ladies :) *Add more seating on the front porch (maybe a porch swing) *Add some landscape to the rear yard - just to make it a more pleasant place to sit outside
Minor requests but those would make this house just perfect! We'll definitely rent this home again in the future!!!!"

This chalet was extremely nice and well appointed. Perfect for two couples. Has private baths in both bedrooms and a half bath in the common area. Extremely easy to access and being on the Ski Mountain road we never heard any traffic. We have been staying with Mt Laurel for 17 years and there is a reason why. They are the best and their staff will truely treat you like family.

Very clean, well kept newer cabin. It is not very far up the mountain which was a plus for my mother in law. So close to the parkway and downtown Gatlinburg plus the park is a no-traffic mile up the road.

This cabin is wonderful. It is very nicely decorated, new appliances, very clean and roomy. Even though it is close to the road, it is quiet with the flowing creek behind it. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Cozy Creek is a brand new, beautiful cabin located just about a mile from town. It's so convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and the National Park. We were thrilled to be able to rent for 2 nights only. The accommodations with 2 identical master suites is perfect for 2 couples traveling together or a family of 4.

Thank you for the review. The cabin is actually only 1/4 mile from the Parkway at light number 10, which is also the entrance to the National Park. We are finding couples love having equal amenities in the bedrooms and love sitting on the back porch and enjoying the sounds of the creek. We hope to see you in the mountains again soon.

Property appeared to be virtually brand new. It was very close to the main st of Gatlinburg and the the National Park. Since the pool was located several miles away we did not use it which we did not like. House is located right next to the offices for Mountain Laurel Chalets so it was easy to ask questions of the staff or get fresh linens. Beautiful house! The area that the house is in was apparently involved in the fires that occurred several years ago and there are some buildings in the area that were burned and not repaired. Not Mountain Laurel's fault, but not attractive. Overall very nice.

Lorraine, Thanks for your comments and feedback. The pool is located just one mile from this house which is right next to our office. Yes, this area did suffer in the fires in Nov 2016 but every day we are seeing progress. Cozy is located just 4/10 mile from the main street downtown and the national park entrance. It was completed in May 2018 so yes it is brand new! Hope to see you again soon.

This Chalet is absolutely beautiful it had everything that you would possibly need the Brook running down the hill at the back of the Chalet was very soothing hot tub was great the mnt.Laurel staff as always is very friendly and upbeat if you needed anything all you had to do is ask I would definitely recommend this place again actually before I left I rebooked it for September can't wait to come back

Our stay at Cozy Creek Cottage was awesome! My husband and I loved the location of the cottage being at the bottom of the mountain and so close to Gatlinburg and all the shops and restaurants. It was so cozy, comfortable, and extremely clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. I can't say enough about the office staff, they were awesome! We have rented several cabins from Mountain Laurel through the years and have never been disappointed in our stay. We would never think of renting from anyone else. I would highly recommend anyone looking to rent a cabin to book it with Mountain Laurel Chalet. We will certainly be back!

We were completely satisfied with our stay at Cozy Creek Cottage. It is newly renovated and secluded while close enough to walk downtown. We will definitely be booking it again! Be aware -- there is only one bathroom, so it is really best suited for one couple, despite the two bedrooms.

Staff were great, the chalet was very clean and setup very nicely. The pool table is hard to play on since there are 3 walls too close to the table. Hot tub was great and very clean as well. Beds and bathroom were both fantastic and also very clean. The pictures online make the place seem much bigger than it really is but there is still enough room for 2-4 people to be very comfortable. The new updates to the kitchen were very nice. Back patio was very peaceful and enjoyable after you get a fire going. There was absolutely no view of the mountains or of anything for that matter but it isn't advertised to have one either. Overall we had a great time and was able to relax properly.
