We had a wonderful getaway weekend! Every one of my siblings and spouses wants to make this an annual event, and as my brother just texted "Next year! Same place!" Your home was perfect for us. Seven couples and seven bedrooms! Also, when we needed help with the dishwasher, there was someone at the door only a few minutes after we called. That kind of service is unheard of! My brothers were so impressed. My brother John and his wife came in their private plane and couldn't return today or even tomorrow because of the weather, so they just texted us and said that they got another Mountain Laurel Chalet while they wait for the weather to clear up. I just wanted you to know how much we appreciated your home place. It was all we could have hoped for!

This was a great place for our family. We've been coming around this time of year for over 20 years and never stayed at the same place twice (although we have used Mtn Laurel many times). This property fits our needs very well and is a great property. The dishwasher didn't work very well. Everything else was great. We'll be back to this place.

This was the 40th year for our annual girls trip to Gatlinburg and we have stayed in MANY different chalets/cabins. We loved the space that Smokey Mountain Memories afforded our group and the view is spectacular. I understand that this is an older property but it could use a little extra TLC. The carpeted areas (particularly in the lower level) are in need of a deep clean as are the vents and air returns. This may help the decrease the musty odor in the lower level as well. The dishwasher was caked with gunk and the dishes came out dirtier than they went in. We did report this, and a maintenance person came and cleaned it out - it never did dry the dishes though. There was also a leak in the basement ceiling which was checked out by the maintenance team. While it leaked intermittently during our stay, the repair was to be completed after we left as it involved cutting into the ceiling. The lower level is currently home to several spiders, including 1 very large wolf spider that we were not able to eliminate, but this is a wooded area so we know that’s not totally avoidable!Overall, this is a very nice property and could be totally comfortable if the issues noted are addressed. We loved the kitchen, dining room and main level living areas and spent lots of time on the front patio enjoying the amazing view!*the maintenance team and office staff always responded readily and were very pleasant to deal with.

The house and view was fantastic, fully furnished and had everything we needed for a great weekend.
The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, except for the black bear that would wonder through the property a few times a day - that was exciting!
I would certainly recommend this house to anyone with a large group looking for a quiet getaway.

We hosted our bachelor/bachelorette weekend getaway at this property. We had 10 guests in addition to ourselves. The house was very nice. We really liked that there were enough bathrooms that no couples had to share. The property was very cozy and there were plenty of areas for us to come together as a group and hang out without being cramped. The only negative I can think of was the trash situation. We had so much trash that we ran out of space in the bins outside.

This is a great house for a large group - plenty of separate spaces, yet enough space to gather for meals.
Beautiful views from the deck. Kitchen was well-stocked for us to cook meals each evening. We took advantage of the theater room, hot tub and fire pit.

This house was wonderful. Three families stayed - 6 adults and 8 kids and there was still room for more without being crowded. The only complaint was the condition of the carpet in the house. It's by no means a deal breaker, but it's time for an update. The location was great and the space inside and out was also great. Add views to the list of greats too. We would most definitely stay there again.

We traveled to the Smokies last month with our friends and we had a great time at the Cabin. It’s was adequately stocked with items. The staff is just a call away. The house was spacious, comfortable and felt like home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay. This was a reunion of siblings and their spouses. Each couple had their own bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The view from the kitchen and back of the house is amazing! The house was clean and well equipped. It could use more large skillets and some wine glasses, otherwise it was well equipped. We enjoyed the theater room where we watched some old home movies. The carpet in bedrooms is starting to show wear and may need replacing soon but overall the house looked great!

This house was my favorite of all the houses we have ever rented. We have been doing this family get together for 10 years. Each house had something falling apart or the bathrooms were not really cleaned well. This house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the furniture in the house was all in very good condition and the big surprise was the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen tools.
We are really hoping to return with our family again

This vacation was one we had been hoping to do for a long time. We wete able to have all of our childten and grandchildren there too. The home was beautiful. It has all of the amenities you could want and an unbeatable too. We all had a great time. There was plenty of room for all of us. We had a problem with the bbq snd some one came to fix it within minutes of our call. We have rented from Mountain Laurel Chalets for quite a few years. Their properties are well kept and their customer service is top rate. Thank all involved in msking this the trip of a lifetime. We'll be back their as soon as we can. By the way, they aren't kidding about the bears. We had visitors everyday. Just keep your distance and you'll be fine.

We are a group of about 18 adults. We travel extensively to houses around the country. We normally stay at a very large modern home with a grand entrance, oversized living room, and very open floorplan. This house was not that, but it was still fantastic! Everyone loved it. I liked how it felt like a homey mountain house but it did not have cheeky trinkets around the house with family photos etc. They did a very good job of making you feel like you were home and in a comfortable cozy space with nicely appointed décor and art that wasn’t cheesy like Cracker Barrel or grandma lived there. The hot tub was separate from the house, a short walk through nice grass. It was not covered with a roof, which we loved, because it made us really enjoy being outside surrounded by nature. The fire pit next to the hot tub was fun (bring firewood). The house was very clean and neat, linens and towels were fresh. There was tiny motel style bar soap in every bathroom. Bring shampoo. There was no squirt hand soap in the whole house. So definitely bring some of that for the kitchen at least. Lots of parking. We fit 3 cars in the driveway directly next to house, end to end. 2 cars fit under carport and we put one perpendicular behind them. Then there is a satellite lot down their driveway about 100 yards where you could fit 3 or 4 cars if needed.

If you're looking for a cookie cutter home where everything is new and pristine- this is not the place for you. If you're ok with a few cobwebs and stains on the carpet and a home FILLED with character and love, then this IS the place for you and your group. We absolutely loved the charm and hominess of the Chalet Village. There were a few things that didnt work or broke during our stay and while the app they suggest is completely useless- as soon as the main office heard directly from us of our issues they fixed them promptly. The home was spacious with plenty of room for our group of 20 to spread out and not feel cramped. The beds were incredibly comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen but did bring along a few extra things just based on how much our group eats (second crock pot, griddle and extra cookie sheets). We loved the outside- from the deck with the rocking chairs to the side yard with the hot tub that we used daily. We even encountered a black bear who did indeed open one of our car doors! (They mean it when they tell you to lock your doors- even in the middle of the day!!). If driving on the mountains up steep roads with no railings makes you nervous, you might reconsider this location. But if you're comfortable with it- the views are 100% worth it! We had the best time and would absolutely stay with Mountain Laurel again.

The Chalet views were awesome!
Loved the doll house.
Loved the dining room table.
Loved the rocking chairs.

Some furniture gave a dirty feel.
There were NO wine glasses.
Only 2 steak knifes for a chalet that sleeps 20.
Leather seating in theatre room need replaced.

Overall a good experience :-)

My family, 19 of us, the youngest 4 yrs to the oldest 60+, thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Smoky Mtn Memories! We loved the spacious interior, the amenities: from the hot tub, to the game room, to the theater, to the washer/dryer, and the scenic views, when available, were spectacular. It misted rain and was foggy much of the time. We even got visited by a bear one morning! He walked across the back deck. I think he may have gotten a whiff of our breakfast cooking! He paused and seemed to decide to keep going after he saw we weren't going to feed him! This was our first mountain experience and even though the steep ride up was scary at first, after getting there, it was worth it! The only suggestion I would make to the owner is to remove the carpet and change or clean their air vents. The vents were filthy and the carpet had dirty spots in some places! We brushed the main intake vent with the broom and the black dust that came out was awful. Many of us have allergies. Other than those two things, I would have given a 5 for cleanliness. Nevertheless, all things considered, it was AWESOME!

The mountain roads can be a bit tricky at first, but most people adapt quickly. We regret you found a dirty air filter and carpets. We are taking steps to insure that does not happen in the future. We had 20 family members (3 under 5yrs)stay at Smoky Mtn Memories for 5 days and 4 nights. Because of Covid 19, we stayed in the chalet or in GSMNP the entire time. There was plenty of bedroom space for everyone and the kitchen and dining space worked well. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck and were visited daily by bears hunting for a meal. We had one person always on bear patrol so as to keep the little ones safe. We used the hot tub in the evenings after long hikes and enjoyed the fire pit (although the hot tub top was broken). The kids liked playing in the kids playhouse in the yard. We did have to do some creative parking to get all of the vehicles parked so we didn't block the drive. It was very doable. We had a fabulous time celebrating a 50th birthday! Thank you Mountain Laurel Chalet for your personal attention and genuine interest in our family's comfort.

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your time at Smoky Mountain Memories. The bears certainly make their presence known and your strategy for a lookout is definitely a good one. We apologize that the hot tub cover was broken and have the parts coming from California. We love the playhouse too! It was actually used by the owner's children growing up, so there are lots of memories inside. Did you find the second parking area below the yard? There is a path through the woods and up the steps to the yard which make it an easy walk. We hope you had a successful birthday celebration and can come back soon.

This is a beautiful updated home! We came to the Smokies to relax and that is exactly what we did. We absolutely loved sitting in the rockers on the porch at any time of day. We had several thrilling bear visits while we were on the porch and enjoyed sunrises and the stars at night. We also enjoyed the theater room, pool table, and loved the hot tub and fire pit- using them almost everyday. Plenty of inside space to kick back and relax as well. All the bedrooms are cozy, comfortable, and baths are all updated. We had 7 people, and because of COVID, we made all our meals here. There were not enough large pots/pans for a large group. And some wine glasses would have been nice. They need to add both. We kept all our trash inside until we left and kept the grill clean because bears were around multiple times a day. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and bring a bigger group next time!

We have stayed in Smoky Mtn Memories for the past four years, and have rented from Moutain Laurel Chalets for several years. We have always found the Staff to be very cordial, very responsive to any requests, and prompt in dealing with any of our concerns. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and probably has one of the best views in that area. We have always said that if we didn't do any thing else, we could just sit on the deck for our whole stay and be perfectly happy. The place is well situated with easy access to the park, town, or Pigonford. The interior is large, well decorated, and easily accommodates a large family.

Smoky Mountain Memories was the perfect mountain chalet for our large family. The property was beautiful. The home was super clean and the grounds were very well manicured. We enjoyed making smores by the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. The playhouse for the young children is adorable and the timber steps throughout the property were great. We were able to let our children play outside without worrying about them getting hurt on the steep mountain inclines. the bottom floor/game room area was so much fun for the kids and adults, and five master bedrooms was perfect for our group. The windows throughout the home showcased the beautiful view perfectly. The staff at Mt. Laurel Chalets was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed this property so much that we wanted to stay an extra night, but unfortunately it wasn't available. This was truly an amazing first class mountain vacation and we cannot wait to visit again!

Have stayed in Mountain Chalet homes before. Great family vacation home. Only disappointment was we were told there was a decorated tree in home and when we arrived there was a nice tree but only with lights ( not all even working). Could have brought our own ornaments if had only known. Furniture in upstairs family room still looked ok but was pretty saggy when used. Otherwise had a great experience!

We booked this property in December to have family time following a college graduation. It is very spacious and accommodated our group of 15 with ease. The property looks just like the pictures in the listing. So nice to have Bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all. There are four bunks on the lower level in a separate living area that was perfect for the kiddos.The theatre room was a huge hit with our bunch. The view is gorgeous. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outside areas due to the weather but it is super nice. We arrived at dusk and was welcomed with a beautiful lit Christmas tree in the living area off the kitchen. Such a nice touch. The home is very beautiful and welcoming but not pretentious at all. I hope to stay here again and recommend it to all.

Great house, very comfortable beds and bedding. Kitchen very well stocked and appropriate dishes and silverward. Two toasters for big parties.
The dishwasher feels like it is about to tip over and needs to be fixed.

The house is amazing with all equipped kitchen and utensils. Bathrooms are very clean and fully stocked with towels and soaps. Outdoor sitting chairs were the best as we spent major time chatting on backyard patio which accommodate all our friends easily.

BEWARE of BEARS at night. At every night they come for food in backyard patio.

Overall amazing get together.

Most importantly property is very near to main market downtown Gatlinburg so easy for food and breakfast or a cup of coffee.

We are a small Human Resources team who wanted to go somewhere scenic for our yearly retreat. We could not have picked a better place than Gatlinburg or a better home than Smoky Mtn Memories. The house was beautiful, each room had it's own character and charm. The house was also huge. In addition to the seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms there were several living room and sitting room arears, a theater room and a game room. Our front porch provided us with a view of the mountains that assured me that there is a God. The kitchen had every amenity and we had both a wood burning and gas fireplaces. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the house was immaculate. Each bedroom had a television and although we didn't use them, there was both a fire pit and a hot tub in the backyard. This house is pretty far up and if you are not familiar with the twists and turns of the smoky mountains, I would not suggest going to your cabin at night. We also had some snow and although it made for some great pictures, Our team, being from the south, were kind of unsure of the roads. The Chalet staff was amazing!, some of the kindest people I have ever met. I recommend this property and this rental company to anyone planning a Gatlinburg trip!

Your home and its setting were the perfect place to celebrate our 50th anniversary with with our four sons and their families (18 in all - 9 grand children, 22 years old and college grad down to the youngest under 2!) Beautiful home with bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, great media room, and a wonderful kitchen, with every appliance and accessories we needed. (especially the warming drawer) House was very clean with lovely bed linen and furnishings. The views are amazing!!!
great setting for photography. Our little ones LOVED the playhouse. We used the hot tub several times and every inch of the house. Access to the national park was very easy, and family enjoyed hiking and snow tubing there. One son even came in early and camped a couple nights. Thanks for the Smoky Mountain Memories!

We had an amazing family reunion at Smoky Mtn Memories!! There was plenty of space for our 17 people to be together, yet also not be on top of each other. The view was amazing, the house was amazing, the experience was amazing!

Another great stay in the Smokies and in Smokey Mtn Memories. Mother bear w/ 2 cubs our first morning and a male bear on our last day. We have stayed in this rental for the past three years and would highly recommend it for a large group and someone looking for the best view of the mountains.

We had a great time and throughly enjoy the property. There was some work going on in the side yard that prevented us from enjoying the only grassy area around but other than that the house and surroundings were great! The view of Mt LeConte was amazing especially with the snow cap. We even had a mama bear and two bear cubs come by for a visit. So, make sure not to leave food in your car or out on the deck!

We absolutely loved Smoky Mountain Memories! The view was amazing and the house is incredible! Perhaps folks are concerned about vacationing in Gatlinburg after the November fire. But rest assured! Everything is up and running and Spring is in full bloom! We can't wait to go back.

We had a lovely stay. The kitchen is great and fully stocked. Big windows so the view is spectacular even when inside. All of the bed/bath combos were tastefully updated and decorated. We really enjoyed the stay and that the house had not been decorated like a lodge!!! Very clean.... we will be back!

I have to first say that everything was perfect with respect to the type of cabin, the shape it was in, the service, the view of the mountain, etc.
I really have to say I did not feel like "renting a cabin"" properly described the experience. It would best be described as spending a beautiful Christmas Holiday in an absolutely gorgeous (spectacular would be better) home. Renting a cabin did not fit. We felt the warmth of being in a wonderful home and felt privileged to do so. the Allison group left on Monday (check out day) planning our next Christmas get together in this very lovely home."

Our second stay in this property. The view from the front of the house is probably the best, covering almost a 180 degree range view. As always, the Mt Laurel personnel answered our concerns promptly and efficiently, added to our enjoyment of our experience. We would recommend this house to everyone needing large accomandations and view.

We absolutely LOVED this home. The pictures do not do it justice! There were 18 of us in the house and it did not feel crowded at all. The house itself was clean and the landscaping was nicely done. The house is located a short drive away (5 minutes) from many of the hiking path entrances and downtown Gatlinburg. We would highly recommend this house!

The chalet was absolutely beautiful. Had fun with friends for 3 days. We never left the chalet. Played cards, games, watched sports and movies in the theater room, had pool tournaments, sat in the hot tub and was amazed at the beauty of the mountain view topped with snow. Love this house.

We had a wonderful vacation in Smoky Mountain Memories celebrating my Mother's 80th Birthday. There were 11 adults and we had plenty of room and could have accommodated more people. The house has everything and really feels like home! The view from the kitchen is just amazing! The living room near the kitchen has a really nice gas fireplace that keeps the whole upstairs cozy. We cooked a couple of meals and the kitchen was well-equipped. The theatre room was awesome for screening old pictures and watching movies. We will definitely be back!

Excellent property, we stayed during thanksgiving for a week and added an extra day we enjoyed it so much. Amazing views, house is big enough not to be on top of each other with several areas for different activities inside and out. We will return.

The chalet we rented from Mt. Laurel Chalets was very nice. It had 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The dining room table was huge and fit all 9 of us easily. There was a hot tub which was very nice and it was close to all of the things you want to do when visiting Gatlinburg.

I own four properties in Pigeon Forge and have looked at many properties to purchase. Smoky Mtn Memories was one of the best I've seen. The owners skimped at nothing. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and the staff in the office were very nice. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives. We will stay here again. OUTSTANDING!!!

Leconte and the perfectly appointed home. I have had the opportunity to stay at Blackberry Farm a couple of times, and I would put this home in that league. Can't recommend this enough!

This rental was over the top gorgeous. Great location to get to with plenty of parking. The house was so beautiful and comfortable that we all wanted to stay. It was a weekend of 7 couples we could easily have had more people. I will definitely be coming back. Hopefully soon.

Very social home for 2/3 families - the movie theatre, the homey kitchen and the fire pit and hot tub were all great additions for a family that enjoys good food, movies and s'mores !!
We enjoyed our stay even tho the cabin was a bit difficult to locate in the dark rainy night ! All in all a very worthwhile trip from Florida!!
