A lovely spot, enjoyed the deck very much. The home is dated and musty but for a short stay it was bearable. The cost is ridiculously hight and the rental company but at all responsive to issues we had with plumbing. Other family members rented the home next door through a much better company who were very responsive to issues and even brought a good/wine gift.

We came for a short weekend getaway. This cabin looked very beautiful in pictures and exactly the same in person. As soon as we arrived a bear greeted us which was pretty awesome. Getting to the cabin was very confusing as many streets do not have street signs. I enjoyed that it was located in a dead end, so there was more privacy. I do wish they would replace the once existing gate to the deck. Mountain Laurel Chalets never disappoint.

Flooring needs to be replaced in master suite bathroom as it’s buckling up. Mattress in master was pretty worn out. The road up to the chalet was horrible at the very end. Perhaps a car could make the driveway turn but not a truck. Overall chalet was very nicely decorated and extremely clean. Just needs a few updates.

I was a little disappointed to see how small the living space was, as the pictures online make it look very large. The sofa and loveseat are pretty broken in and worn down. The DVD player door was broken with no batteries for the remote. The master bath is very old and really needs updated. We all ended up using the other bathroom. Both shower areas are very tight making it difficult to move around. There were several soft spots in the wood flooring that we were afraid to step on. The welcome packet dates back to 2012 and is in pretty bad shape. It would have been nice if it was updated with current information. The outside could use a little updates and cleaning. It has a very nice kitchen and dining area with a lot of utensils. The villa is secluded with a nice front deck. It was very quiet which made it a good relaxing experience. It was an easy check in and check out experience with very nice office staff.

Thank you for sending us your concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about the repairs needed. In response to your review, the DVD player has been replaced. The deck painting has been ordered by the owner. We will let him know about the living room furniture for replacement or repair. The shower in the master bath is actually bigger than the hall bath, but because it is a one piece fiberglass shower and the hall bath is tile, it seems smaller. The owner has plans to remodel the master bath. The soft spots in the living room are from the laminate floor buckling in that one spot and is totally safe. The sub floor is solid. The information notebooks are being removed and are being replaced by an on-line digital guide specifically for the cabin you have reserved, plus area information. You should have received that link in your email or text prior to your arrival. Again, thanks for the information and we are happy to hear you had a relaxing stay. We look forward to seeing you in the mountains again soon.

We loved this cabin. It was very comfortable and clean. The air conditioner was not working on the first night. A maintenance person was there and had it fixed within an hour. A nice getaway in the mountains. We saw 2 bears while staying here. We would definitely return.

5 nights here just weren't enough. Bella Vista has a nice cozy feel. You also feel a sense of privacy and seclusion while staying here. The only negative would be that the driveway is a bit tricky to turn into and out of. Overall, this is another great place to get away from it all.

It was amazing we didn't see any bears this time but weather was great and jacuzzi was wonderful end of hiking days. Beds are co fy and plenty of blankets for living room. They had everything in kitchen you could need. We loved it here!!

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was just what we were hoping for. We were a little disappointed that we didn't see any bears. Also, the power went off one night. Just a suggestion to have some flashlights available. There weren't any flashlights or candles.

This was our favorite chalet we've ever rented. It had gorgeous views of downtown Gatlinburg and is at the top of the mountain. Bears came to visit us almost daily! This chalet could use a little TLC. Wooden floor is buckling in places causing my kids to trip multiple times. Also, a good cleaning. Baseboards haven’t been cleaned in some time and floors were dusty and dirty. Master bathroom had molding separating from sink, jacuzzi tub is very old and buckling in the middle. Now for the bears - lots of them! We had a mom and three Cubs surround d our car when we were trying to exit the driveway. I LOVE wildlife, but the frequent visits by them was a little much. We came home one night to a chunk taken out of the hot tub cover by a bear!

The chalet was overall clean but in need of several repairs. The master bedroom was in need of carpet cleaning with a few stains. The hot water heater has a leak with water overflowing into the drain pan. Noticed buckling of flooring in between the kitchen and great room. The master bath needs a total remodel. Jacuzzi tub appeared to be from decades ago. There were three small holes in the sheetrock in the master bedroom and a watermark on the ceiling over the bed from a leak in the roof. Most of the outdoor railings had mold on them and needed a good pressure washing. Lights missing in the master bedroom, stove and under the microwave. All issues were reported but not addressed during our stay. The gate to the balcony had been removed at the top of the stairs which proved to be an issue, as we were visited by three bear during our stay. We had no warning. One approached while we were eating breakfast on the balcony and overtook our food. My husband made it indoors safely. I however, was stranded on the end of the balcony by the hot tub with no way to get to safety until the bear began eating our food and was distracted. This allowed me to pass by the table and into the chalet.

Harry, thanks for the review and, from your numeral ratings, it looks like you enjoyed your stay. Some of the driveways on the mountain can be a bit tricky if there is a switch back. Our maintenance trucks can make the turn easily, but they are expert drivers on the mountain roads. If you have a larger vehicle, the best thing to do is to go to the dead end and turn around, or even better, back into the driveway. Either way, once you figure it out, it's a piece of cake.

Great little cabin, nice hot tub. Comfortable furniture, soft beds. Kitchen has everything you need, nice decor. TV and DVD player were tricky, but we played games instead, so that was a win. Floor in living room is shifty. We were there when weather was rainy and foggy, so no view for us. The drive up is TERRIFYING!! Very curvy, steep, narrow road...straight drops and ditches...driving in foggy (I mean, they are the Smoky Mtns.), rainy conditions...but we used Elite Taxi service and that helped. Overall,nice cabin for the price paid.

The rainy weather did create a lot of fog during your stay and driving mountain roads that you are not familiar with can be tricky. You had an excellent idea to call the taxi! Sit back and let someone used to driving up here get you around safely. The owner has made arrangements to get the laminate floor fixed and has plans to redo the master bath! Thank you for your hospitality and kind gestures. I truly appreciated the accuracy of your presentation online as compared to in person viewing however I have one small complaint that really would make the difference in whether I return during the summer/spring due to the fact that we didn't get to do as much (snowed in). So instead of posting a bad review, I decided to personally address it via email. There was an issue with critters, likely a rat, that tore through our items that we had left on the island in the kitchen. There was a bowl on the counter which we had put three bananas in and a newly unopened bag of chocolate. We woke up the following morning and found out that they had been nibbled on. The following day we accidentally left our ice box open in the living room area and it got into our ice box and tore through the items we had in there. I know it's winter and everyone is seeking warmth in the mountains but I did not expect this at all.
Hopefully this issue can be addressed.

Home was very adequate and clean. However, if you aren't a fan of roller coasters, you might want another cabin. The road to the cabin is very winding, up and down, switchback turns, and the driveway itself is challenging. The house itself was comfortable and welcoming.

All of our chalets are located on Ski Mountain, so mountain roads are winding and steep, but all are also paved and two lane. If you drive a large vehicle, the turn into the driveway can be tricky. If you go past the driveway, you can turn around at the end of the road (about 50 yards) and go straight into the driveway from the opposite direction. We hope you will be able to come back to the mountains again soon. You may prefer to stay closer to the bottom (but give up the view). We would be happy to help you make a decision on a chalet perfect for you.

It has great views of the mountains and even downtown Gatlinburg. While the cabin does have a huge Jacuzzi tub, both showers are very small, this could be a factor if you like to take a relaxing shower. It is also one of the more "tricky"" cabins to get in and out of by a vehicle that we've experienced in our years of staying in the area. Two things that could be added to make a future visit better - an easier way to get the hot tub cover off - due to the closeness of the deck it's very difficult to remove and a snow removal shovel for the deck and stairs - we had several inches of snow and no easy way to clear them."

The quality of the cabin was exceptional. Loved the spa and Jacuzzi. The view from the front porch was amazing. The only issue we had was with the driveway up to the property. It was very steep and covered in slippery leaves which made it difficult at times to get up the driveway. The placement of the driveway requires you to 3 point turn in order to enter the property and also to leave the property. Would have been fine if I had 4 wheel drive but once I got the hang of it there were no issues. Raking the leaves would have also helped. However, once we were parked we had a great experience there.

Third Mountain Laurel chalet we have stayed in. They have all been nice and clean, decorated nicely, enjoyable. Bella Vista, however is where I want to live! I would block the stairs to the deck off so a bear doesn't come visit!

The bears have a daily path starting at the top of the ridge and strolling through the neighborhood, but please enjoy from a distance and ALWAYS lock your car doors. This was my 2nd visit to Bella Vista- beautiful views from modern cozy chalet. Floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the mountains every minute. Very comfortable and quiet. I've booked with Mtn Laurel Chalets several times and never disappointed as they are so easy to communicate with and chalets are very clean. Easy drive down Ski Mtn Rd and you're at Park entrance. I take River Rd to avoid the strip and get to Rainbow Falls and drive the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. You won't want to leave this mountain retreat!

The Chalet is an amazing place. It was very clean, the linens were posh hotel quality, the amenities of a complete working kitchen, washer/dryer and hot tub added to the perfect chalet. We had bear in our yard every morning playing-what an experience to see nature up close.

I love the Bella Vista .. Had a great view of downtown and we really enjoyed the fire works display without having to leave the deck of the chalet. Every thing was great. You have a perfect view of the Fourth of July fireworks from the deck of Bella Vista, even if they are a couple of miles away. The best part is No Crowds! We are glad you enjoyed the chalet and hope your trip in October is just as good or better. The bears do have a routine every day starting at the top of the ridge and working their way through the neighborhood, so always keep your car doors locked and the doors to the chalet closed. after trying out a VRBO last year, we decided to return to MLC for our chalet needs this year. We’ve stayed in roughly 8-10 cabins over the years so we feel we have a good sense of what a true chalet experience is. While I have nothing negative to say about the rental, I would highly advise anyone to do their research before booking. There are reasons that pictures are positioned the way they are, things you don’t see, etc. MLC continues to be top notch from a service perspective but we would not book this rental again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Mt. Laurel Chalets' at Bella Vista. The cabin had everything we needed and more, and felt like home. We had some rainy days and it was great to open up a closet and find it full of board games. We enjoyed the hot tub and the spectacular views each evening and the sunrises each morning. We stopped by a grocery store, picked up some groceries and cooked a few meals, which was nice. The drive up and making the sharp turn into the driveway was a bit challenging, but we got used to it. Discounted attraction tickets were available at the office. The check-in/check-out process was easy and staff very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this property and Mt. Lauren Chalets.

We loved the chalet very much. We enjoyed its beauiful views, open floor plan, and how updated it was. We also enjoyed how well stocked the kitchen was for cooking as well. I just wish that online that Mountain Laurel could be more descriptive with how high up the mountain each chalet is. This one was pretty high, and some of the roads, and turns were very scary. We survived thou, and was able to laugh about it on our way home. Also that we now know the location of this one we would rent it again.

we had a very memorbale vacation. We found the home very clean. comfortable. Everything we needed was provided in the home. if we needed extra supplies, all we had to do was ask and the office staff was great. The roads to the home are steep and challenging to maneuver. A AWD or 4 WD would probably be best to use. I would definitely return to the same location. It is a beautiful place.

Some companies only give you starter paper products, but we have always restocked toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, etc as often as you need. It is a quick stop by the office on your way out for the day and you will love our friendly laundry room staff. As for the roads, they are a little tricky if you are not used to driving in the mountains, but a 4 WD is really only necessary when there is snow on the roads. Otherwise, all roads and most driveways are paved, even if they are a little narrow in some spots. Please give us a call when you are ready to get away to the Smokies.

Our vacation with Mountain Laurel Chalets was an excellent experience. The cabin was very well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and were even lucky enough to see five neighborhood bears. It was a perfect size for the three of us and would probably sleep four very comfortably as well. We would definitely stay in this cabin again, and plan to in the future. The cabin is an excellent value and the staff at Mountain Laurel were very nice and helpful.

The downside—get those tiny details out of the way first. The driveway—scary. Make a run for it from the neighboring driveway—but hey welcome to the mountains. The showers...small... but you’re only there for a few minutes anyway. Now on to the good stuff

It really has a perfect view to see the mountains, the town, the sunrise even the moon rising at night. It’s difficult when picking out a place to determine how good is the view. This one is perfect. The balcony provides a great place to relax and just soak it all in, The living space, kitchen and the bedrooms are super cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space. Kitchen had the utensils we needed, furniture was very comfortable. There’s a small grill off to the side, and appreciated laundry machines were available inside to use. I would definitely stay in this house again and recommend it. We had all the information we needed, easy to get to (beware of hills and curves haha), it was affordable and just a great place to be. Definitely very clean, and the inside looks as beautiful as the photos. The hot tub worked great, and we had no trouble with the wifi

Thanks for the great review. Our guests will find it most useful. The driveway makes a sharp right turn, so if you are in a larger vehicle, the best approach is to go to the end of the street and turn around and approach it straight on, but smaller cars won't have any trouble at all. Some of our maintenance men prefer to back up into the driveway, but they are good at using side mirrors. Believe me, there are way worse driveways on the mountain and that is one of the things we consider before taking a house on our program. The owner is aware of the small showers and plans to remodel the master bath. We look forward to seeing you in the mountains again soon.

I have to start this review by saying that the drive up to the cabin, for one not accustomed to mountain driving, was terrifying and I would never do it again. We arrived at night, in fog and rain and the drive was treacherous. The roads are extremely narrow in many places, dark, very winding, hairpin turns and steep. If you are comfortable and accustomed to mountain driving, the cabin itself is beautiful -- gorgeous fireplace, decor, view, etc. The washer/dryer and the jacuzzi tub were old and not the best but all other features of the cabin itself were beautiful. The steepness and dangerous driving are a deal breaker for me though.

Thanks for the review. I agree with you that it is scary driving at night in an unfamiliar area in the fog and rain. But, now that you know your tolerance of mountain roads, we would love to talk with you about the best unit to fit your needs. All of our properties are on Ski Mountain and some are closer down than others. Bella Vista is a beautiful chalet that gets a fair amount of bear traffic, but your comfort level is more important. My son and his new bride had stayed at a cabin through Mountain Laurel Chalets (MLC following throughout for short) for their honeymoon and couldn’t say enough good things about them or the cabin they stayed in, so when it was time for us to book a place for a girls retreat with my sisters in Christ, I decided to go with MLC as well and we were not disappointed. Customer service can make or break any experience, and our experience with MLC from booking to check out was amazing!
The Cabin itself was WONDERFUL! It was beautifully decorated, extremely clean, well equipped, cozy beyond description and the view was gorgeous!
The whole experience was truly awesome, and I can’t recommend MLC or Bella Vista highly enough!

We immediately fell in love with the layout. The view was spectacular. Especially at night. It’s furnished well and had everything we needed to cook all our meals inside. The open concept worked great for my family. We had the windows and doors opened almost every day and evening. The beds were comfortable and we slept so good every night. The only issue we had at all was the dangerous dining room chair. My child sat in the only bad one for dinner the first night. And it about collapsed. Someone glued it together I think so it appeared sturdy. Hopefully with reporting it, it’ll save someone else from getting hurt. We will be back to stay in this cabin.

The Bella Vista exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The view from the deck overlooking the city with the mountains behind was spectacular. The chalet was pristine and updated with all of the necessities of home. It was also very spacious. The hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking. We did have a sudden drop in temp and the last day the hot tub would not keep us warm enough but I can't hold that against the facility as the temps did change overnight. The staff was very warm, pleasant and helpful. I would definitely come back and stay here or in one of their other properties.

We took a girls trip to Gatlinburg, stayed at Bella Vista and loved it!! It's a beautiful cabin. We loved spending the evening playing board games and having a drink by the hot tub. I would definitely come back. The drive up the mountain takes some getting used to but the views make it well worth it!

This was our second time renting through Mountain Laurel Chalets in the last 10 months. The first time we stayed two nights and knew we wanted to come back. This time we stayed seven nights and not only weren't we ready to leave, but we are once again are already eager to return. This property was the perfect size for us and our two kids. We (especially our kids)loved having the pool table and hot tub. The property was just a short drive from great restaurants and was an easy drive into the National Park Where we did five days of hiking (which also made the hot tub useful afterward) as well as sight-seeing on the motor trails and horseback riding at Sugarlands riding stables. Ober Gatlinburg is also a very easy drive. The property was very comfortable and at one point made us forget that we were only renting it. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to going back.

Bella Vista has a great view of the mountains, Gatlinburg and the Tram. The chalet was clean and comfortable. Everyone at Mt. Laurel were helpful and very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this chalet to anyone. We had a great stay and am looking forward our next one (hopefully in April). The best part of the stay was the paw prints on my car and the bear on the deck.

We had a great time staying inBella Vista! Everything was just as we expected. Cabin was very clean. We brought our toddler this time to Gatlinburg & the cabin was great because there were no stairs for her to fall down. Also we all loved the jacuzzi tub! We really enjoyed going to Öber Gatlinburg & riding the tram for Oktoberfest. Hint....if you park at Öber and buy tram tickets...your tram tickets are good all day for two days. It saves on parking if you don't want to park downtown. We also really enjoyed eating at Bennets & of course the Apple Barn!

While this was the smallest cabin we have ever rented in the Smoky Mountains, it definitely packed the biggest punch with the amazing view! The staff at was very friendly and helpful from booking the reservation to a small repair at the cabin that was attended to immediately. I did worry about the drive up as we were kissing heaven but it worked out. The driveway is a bit tricky but only need just one time to figure it out.

The rental property was exactly as we'd hoped, one level, two bathrooms(showers) and nice kitchen/living room. The drive up was a little scary but once I was used to it, I was fine. Makes for a beautiful view and very quiet atmosphere.
The only complaint/concern would be the living room furniture. The couch and chairs were VERY worn down and VERY uncomfortable to sit on. Luckily we weren't in the living room very long.

Overall, it was exactly the experience we had wanted with a cabin in the mountains.

Which made it almost impossible getting to the cabin. This cabin is gorgeous and worth the stay but make sure you go in a 4x4 truck! It is one crazy drive up one heck of a mountain.

This was our second time renting a cabin from Mountain Laurel Chalets, and another great experience! This is a cute cabin and the view is fabulous from the deck and from the living room. The amenities were good, the only drawback I found was the Jacuzzi tub is an older model and so deep, it must take 100 gallons of water to get enough to cover the jets. You have to fill it in stages in order to have enough hot water.
The grill shown in the photos is a charcoal grill, but the one actually there is an electric George Foreman grill, so don't bother bringing the charcoal and lighter fluid like we did. It worked great.
The beds are very comfortable and the cabin was very clean. The location of the cabin makes it pretty private.
I would definitely stay in this cabin again!

The rental company staff were great. The house sits in a beautiful area. Tricky driveway to turn into. There is a house right behind it so privacy is limited and we heard children screaming all day outside. The house needed some cleaning. Dirty coffee cup with coffee in microwave. Floors not swept or mopped. We tried to vacuum rugs and carpet but two vacuum cleaners, full, dirty and missing belts on both. Wash machine had a broke piece around inside top and it was extremely loud. Could not use the hot tub. Beware. Hot Tub appeared to be clean, smelt a strong smell of urine. There is a lid with cup holder pulled it up. I was shocked urine smelled, a very thick mess around the black lid in it. The urine had to be there for a long time. Nails on porch needed hammered down. Had to wear shoes, my husband cut the side of his foot on it. This property could be so much more with just some TLC.

Another Great Chalet through Mountain Laurel, We have never been Disappointed. The Chalet was Great. Had Everything We Needed for a Much Needed Getaway!. Beautiful View. Very Clean. The drive to the Chalet was interesting, but Well Worth it! Would and Will Definitely stay. In it again and recommend it!

The drive up the mountain freaked me out!
Didn't realize how high up we were going to be. The driveway was hard to turn into.Everything was very neat& clean. Very impressed. Didn't need anything but groceries.

We loved being up in the mountains and the size of the chalet was perfect for our family of 4.
