Cozy Cove

Loved staying at Cozy Cove. I stayed at a Mountain Laurel chalet about 10 years ago and have had great service each time. There were a couple minor things that could use updating (dishwasher needs fixing and adding some blinds- it is verrrry bright) but we had the absolute best time. The best location I’ve ever had in Gatlinburg (even had time to run home for a quick nap one day since we were so close!) Great views and awesome customer service. We didn’t need anything during our stay but they have the best communication and super easy check out. I feel like our business was very appreciated from them! I love the little touches like having a welcome bag at check in, a roadtrip playlist, and my name being on the Amazon echo. Just all very thoughtful! Will definitely be back!

We have stayed in this cabin about 3 times and getting ready to be our 4th coming up in a few days and can’t wait. On our Girls trip we rest, eat, play games, have a Hallmark Day where all we do is watch Hallmark movies, and so much more. We get to leave our husbands, kids, jobs, and everyday problems behind for a few days and just have fun. As wives and Moms we deserve a few days for ourselves and what better way then to go to the mountains with 3 life long friends. We will even make our reservations for our 2025 trip before we leave heading home.

This is our favorite chalet! It’s clean, comfortable and perfect location. The tram view is an added bonus. The only thing to make it better would be if we could bring our furry family member.

Cozy Cove is a such a pleasant surprise. The outside is very plain, while the inside is a combination of modern and rustic. The bank of windows that wrap around the dining and living room immerse you into the woodland. Daily bear sightings from the comfort and safety of your home were a treat. In downtown Gatlinburg we enjoyed the July craftmen's fair and breakfast at the Pancake Pantry. Having a pool pass kept the kids busy. The location was perfect!

Cabin was in a great location and VERY clean! The view was a tad bit disappointing but did have a view of the tram. We saw lots of bear at the cabin. One day there was a bear sleeping directly across the street in the driveway. He was fun to watch from afar. The only thing that was upsetting was we were traveling with a newborn and asked for early check in. I was informed to call when we arrived in town and they would do their best to get us in the cabin early. Which I understand wasn’t a guarantee. When I called, the lady that answered in the office was very rude. I explained to her that I had spoke to someone a couple weeks before and they instructed us to call upon arrival. She was very rude and said this would involve house keeping and a manager and would have to call us back. After 2 hrs of waiting I called back and once again very rude and said she was still waiting for a call back from housekeeping and then hung up on me. Customer service goes along way and this was just unacceptable as I was only doing what I was instructed to do.

The chalet was great plenty of room everything was laid out nice, everything we needed was provided and we really enjoyed staying there. The only thing I would add would be directions to the little market because the pizza place and the gas station down on the corner both sent us way across town to the big grocery store.

We had a great time. The chalet was very clean, well laid out, and well kept. Did I say it was clean? This was very refreshing, no need to worry in this area.

I especially liked the pool table. Great views from the large windows on the back side of the cabin. We are already thinking about a return trip!

We always travel to the Smokies in January for mountain views. Cozy Cove did not disappoint. Watching the tram was also fun. The wife wants to come back to Cozy Cove in the summer to see the bears. Until then.

The Chalet was perfect for our married couples annual New Year Eve Celebration. The floor plan allowed each couple to have privacy at each level with there own private bath room. It also accommodated every couple with a spectacular view of the mountain.

The house was clean and we loved the opportunities to enjoy morning and evening conversations on the poach. In addition play pool in the evening. We normally celebrate the New Year in hotels and this was our first time being housed in one location, we all concurred that this was one of the best!

We were unable to get the tv working on the main level; however, I contacted Mountain Laurel and they immediately sent a technician to resolve the problem. Apparently the quest prior to us at set up the tv for someone to play a video game.

I was informed on the morning of our departure that the toilet on the main floor ran all night and the couple had to sleep with the bathroom door closed; however, it was a minor inconvenience. The shower on the third floor has the hot and cold knobs in reverse order. Unfortunately, we did not address these issues with Mountain Laurel which did not allow them the opportunity to rectify the issues.

We drove from St. Petersburg, FL and arrived early and Mountain Laurel accommodated us with friendly and dignified service.
We would highly recommend this cozy location. We were truly looking forward to seeing a bear, but only saw one that barked (LOL).

This is the second time that we have stayed in this cabin. The only complaints that we have is that there was no cookie sheet, wine glasses or collander. Also, there is no large skillet to cook with. Other than that, it was perfect. Plenty of bears to see. We will come back again next year.

A really great location. Nice furnishings. 3 coffee makers, but could only get 1 to work. Toaster needs replaced. Other than that, all else was great. Nice and clean. Lots of bears and their cubs passed by.

Smooth and easy check in and out. The house is beautiful and plenty of room for 6 adults and a baby. Location wonderful - on the side of a mountain, away from the crowded towns, but able to be in downtown Gatlinburg or GSMNP in 5 min. A truly great spot - would love to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay, the view was beautiful, a bear came roaming which our grandchildren thought was cool to see; but as a family of 8 we only had toilet paper that was on the roll, and those were not even full rolls; when I called they said we could come down and pick up, very inconvenient; bath towels were also very small and thin, no extra blankets available at all.

We were a group of 5 ladies visiting the area for the first time to celebrate my niece’s 30th birthday in April 2021. We checked in after hour and the process of picking up the key at the office was very easy. Google maps made finding the cabin easy (although I did download the maps for off line availability before leaving home). It is very close to the entrance to the Smoky Mountain State Park, downtown Gatlinburg and a small convenience store. The closest grocery store was in Pigeon Forge about 20 or 30 minutes away. There are a couple of other cabins in the area, one being directly across the street, but we rarely saw anyone. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and spacious, plenty of room (and bathrooms) for 5 ladies. Never ran out of hot water, paper products were only a phone call away. The view off the back decks (one on each floor) were beautiful. The cabin was clean, clean linens, bathrooms etc. Washer and dryer in the basement were convenient and worked well. One morning we walked out the front door and a bear was walking down the street; it was the highlight of the trip. We all agree we would stay here again.

The cabin was beautiful, and the view was great. The finishes inside along with the newer appliances were a nice touch. The only issue we had was that some of the cable boxes weren't working, but we didn't spend much time watching TV so it wasn't a big deal.

Plenty of space for 8 family members. Simple comfortable calming decor. We enjoyed staying her despite a few qwerks. Roads to this cabin are easy to navigate and there are no hairpin turns. Keep your car doors locked at night! A bear got into 2 of our vehicles.

Batteries were missing in TV remotes and fan remotes. You must turn on the fan switch down stairs for the upstairs ceiling light. Hot water is a bit tricky, turn the knobs to the right. The dishwasher is in need of repair. The top basket falls out if you pull it out too far due to missing pieces. Blinds/furniture needs a good deep cleaning.

We had a wonderful stay in the Cozy Cove Cabin. There were six of my family members who stayed there. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We played pool, spent time in the hot tub and even had a visit from two bear cubs. They were cute, but we stayed away and just watched them. All-in-all, we had a great time together staying in this cabin. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to spent time in the Gatlinburg area. It’s close to Gatlinburg away from all the hustle and bustle.

We stayed at Cozy Cove this last week. From start to finish, it was a superb experience.

I'll start with the reservation and pre-check in process with Mt. Laurel. We do a lot of vacation rentals (as opposed to hotels). The processes they have in place are absolutely first rate. We received timely and complete communication every step of the way. We were scheduled to check out on Saturday. My sister asked if I had the check out procedures handy. I went to look for them in my earlier emails and was amazed that I had actually just received a new email from Mt. Laurel with a reminder about check out. They basically anticipated any question you could have.

Cozy Cove was such a great cabin. The location was just seculded enough to make you feel alone in the wilderness, but still close to all the things you might need at the bottom of the mountain. It is only minutes from the Sugarland Visitor Center and many of the trailheads. The cabin itself was gorgeous and well laid out for our group of 8. We had a great amount of space to either be together or separately hang out from the lower patio with hot tub and the pool table to the main level for gathering and meals. The beds were on the firmer side, but newer and were comfortable. All of the linens, pillows, etc. were again, clearly new and well kept. The bathrooms were clean and new feeling (there are 3 full baths in this cabin!). One nice touch is that most of the light switches were labeled, so you would know what lights you were turning on. The entire cabin was spotless when we arrived. There is space for two cars out front. We saw bears 5 out of the 7 days we were there. Sometimes multiple times each day!

It was hard to think of a single negative about our experience. The only minor suggestion I would have is that for a larger cabin like this one where a couple of families or friends are meeting up, two keys would have been helpful to have. Again, super minor item that could be considered f

What a DREAM review! We are so glad to hear that Cozy Cove was everything you expected and more. Good to know that the information emailed to you was timely and informative. During these days of COVID, we are removing the blankets from the beds, along with the sheets, after every rental and laundering/sanitizing everything to ensure you have the cleanest and freshest bedding. Also as a result of COVID, we are not allowing anyone other than employees inside the office, making check-in a little different. Your check-in packet had one key, but we are happy to provide more, simply call the office and make the arrangements. We look forward to the day when we can put Covid behind us and open our office to properly welcome you to the mountains. We look forward to y our next visit.

21 years later we wanted to show our children the beautiful mountains and Gatlinburg. We stayed with mountain laurel chalets both times and we will continue to use them. We were close to downtown but secluded enough to enjoy coffee every morning only with the mountains as a view and surprise visits from bears.

The cabin was perfect for our family and we even saw a bear walking towards us when we were out front one night. I was very touched by the gentleman that prayed over the phone for my husband and I when we were sick and had to cancel our original date. This really is a business that makes you feel like family

Every year 3 of my friends and I spend a few days in the beautiful Smoky Mountains and we always have a fantastic time. This was our first year to stay in the Cozy Cove cabin and we loved it. There is 4 bedrooms on 3 different floors so we were all able to have our own space. The cabin is so beautiful with 3 different balconies and it is about half way up the mountain so it’s not hard to find at all. The day after we got home I went ahead and already reserved this same cabin for our 2021 trip. I have always had a great experience with the office employees. They are so friendly and helpful and just like my family. So until Girls Trip #8 next May, stay safe and God Bless.

This is a nice cabin that is not very far up the mountain. It is easy to get to and parking for several cars. Kitchen and living area is very nice. The big windows opposite the TV could use some blinds as it is almost impossible to see the TV in the morning.

The Jack and Jill bathroom needs regular doors instead of the barn door sliders to seal in light. If anyone gets up in the middle of the night light spills into the room.

Great location, a lovely home, beautiful view. The crawl space on the other side of the laundry room was a little creepy, but other than that we had a good time enjoying the views-beautiful leaves, etc.

We had a wonderful time at Cozy Cove! Mountain Laurel,as always, was wonderful and the staff are always so personable and great to interact with. The house was beautiful and updated and the view was great! We had small children and the house was set up in a way that was super easy to make it safe for them to run around and enjoy themselves as well. Can't wait to book our next trip!

Beautiful view, peaceful, very comfy beds, clean. Loved the décor and layout. Had some slight difficulties getting the TV's to come on but the front office got right on it. We had visiting bears which was exciting. Would def stay there again. Great staff willing to assist in any way.

This home is spacious and beautiful and has a wonderful view from the deck. Perfect for a couples weekend or families!! Very close to Gatlinburg but awa from lights, noise and traffic!

This house is very cute. The finishes are very nice and very appropriate for the setting. On the negative, there is no insulation at all between floors, so everyone hears everything. On the top floor, there are two nice sized bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bath. There is a third bed and small bathroom off the kitchen, and a fourth small bed and small bath on lower level. Overall, we would rent this house again. We saw black bears outside our window three of the four days we were there.

We use Mt. Laurel Chalet's every time we visit Gatlinburg and are never disappointed. Cozy Cove was absolutely beautiful. The highlight of our trip were the daily/nightly visits from two mommma bears and six cubs!!!!

The property description was accurate! I loved the way the rental made you feel right at home as you walked in the door. It was clean and well-maintained. There was 8 of us and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. We loved gathering around the table in the morning for breakfast and enjoying the mountain view. I would recommend this rental to family and friends. I also hope to be back soon!

Loved the location and this home. We've stayed at other houses in the Gatlinburg area before (from different companies), and have always been disappointed by some aspect of the property. Staying at Cozy Cove through Mt. Laurel, there was NOTHING to be disappointed with. Great location, great service, and a great overall experience. Only gave the review 5 stars because I couldn't give it more!
