This is the fifth time I stayed in the 3 suite retreat. The owners make you feel at home. Plenty of towels and very clean. Glad they updated TVs and have DVDs.

This was our 2nd stay at 3Suite Retreat. The home was clean and welcoming. We did have some minor issues that were quickly taken care of.
I know that from time to time they clear out some of over growth to improve the view of the mountains and it might be time to clear some of the overgrowth out.
We did notice, and reported to the staff on our departure that the silverware in the chalet was pretty low. We were constantly washing so we had enough to eat with. How ever it did not hamper our stay. Always look forward to our Smokies with MLC.

The chalet was good but disappointing. The view is awesome but half the blinds were broken and wouldn’t open to allow us to see it. Carpeted areas were dirty and unappealing (and probably contributed to a generally musty odor throughout)

Yes! Three Suite Retreat offers fantastic views of the Smoky Mountains. It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway in the mountains with family or friends; it has a homey feel that makes it a fantastic place to just spend some quality time with others. The views of the mountains were awesome from the hottub. We also had 2 cubs wrestle in the flat area the deck looks over. The chalet was definitely spacious. Nice kitchen. Nice pool table and plenty of rooms.

Mountain Laurel Chalets is a great rental company, awesome communication and so helpful! We have rented from this company in the past and been very pleased with both the rental experience and the property. This house however was not our typical positive experience .
This house really shouldn’t be on the market at this price for the condition it is in. It is EXTREMELY dated. The entire house is decorated in what can best be described as dusty 1980s clutter. The bathrooms are all carpeted which seems very unsanitary. Nearly every mini blind in the house is broken. There are no bannister or railings on the steps from the lower level to the first floor which is a huge safety issue especially for children or the elderly. The house is in a great location with lovely views and a nice lot. It really has the potential to be a nice property given some maintenance, decluttering, updates , and a little love .

My family & I really enjoyed Three Suite & will definitely book this unit again. Good location, great Mountain View, nicely stocked, comfortable beds, large hot tub, & nice floor plan. We always rent from Mt. Laurel & wouldn’t consider renting from another company. We’ll be back in a few months!

Location of this chalet is perfect! Easy to get to-mostly main roads leading to chalet. However, chalet is quite outdated. It smelly musty and there is evidence of water damage in many areas. The jacuzzi tub upstairs leaks into the dining area and the largest master bath also has a leak over the toilet when raining. Carpet is old and stained and is in all the bathrooms- yuck. Could have been much cleaner- gunk in corners of floorboards and walls/door frames are stained and dingy looking. Mountain Laurel so the absolute best and we will continue to stay with them, however will not book this property again.

I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cabin. There was a proposal that was supposed to happen on the skybridge that did not occur and roads to other places were shut down. I utilized the cabin as my proposal place and it couldn’t have been better! She said Yes by the way!!! I can’t wait to visit again next year! Thanks for helping me make memories!

The view from Three Suite is amazing! We had perfect weather while we were there. We did not have any bear visitors while we were there. The office staff is wonderful. We had a problem with our cable box
and maintenance came right up to check it out. The kitchen was well stocked. The chalet was very clean. The only recommendations I would have for the owners would be a little TLC of their home. The kitchen needs updating. You have to open the dishwasher and oven doors in order to open the cabinet drawers. I would also recommend that they put tile or vinyl in the bathrooms. It is a little dated and not very nice to have carpeting in the bathrooms. Several of the light fixtures were without light bulbs. It did have a musty smell when you first enter the family room area. It has a nice long driveway with plenty of parking. The house is secluded and private. We would definitely stay at this chalet again with just a few updates to the property.

Three suite retreat is an absolutely beautiful place, and it is a fantastic place to say with family, or even if three couples want to have a getaway together. We always try to get little issues like the cable box resolved as soon as possible, and make sure that our guests experience is as smooth as possible. The vacation rental we had was well maintained could use a little upgrades but nothing to be disappointed about! The only issue we had was the upstairs bathroom toilet didn’t flush however the 3 other bathrooms made up doe that!! Seeing the bears was awesome they came to visit us while we were on the grill great stay overall!

The drive up and down the mountain was a little scar, especially at night, but by the third trip up it was a piece of cake. The location and view was incredible. Make sure that you pick up everything you need at the grocery store including seasonings because there are none at the house. In one of the bedrooms we did have a bug problem, which could be expected in the mountains. We also had a leak downstairs from the tub in the upper bedroom. All in all, a great experience. We had a family of bears visit us, so make sure that you lock your cars and also put the garbage in the bear proof containers.

The Three Suite rental was wonderful!! Three separated king suites with private bathrooms made it easy for our group to spread out. There are three central air units so no battling for thermostat control. We were all comfortable at night. There is an additional full bath downstairs with the pool table which was very convenient. The views from the balcony were amazing. The hot tub was in excellent condition and we loved it. The owner has personal touches in the home along with pictures of the renovation which added two bedrooms and bathrooms. We did not see the bear, only evidence of a bear visit. Did see lots of fireflies! The home is in the mountains so expect narrow roads, hairpin turns with steep drop offs and no cell service on drive. There is a market and pizza place on the mountain. Both are convenient...and saves a drive back down mountain.
Minor issues: The carpet is an off white and as expected shows dirt. There is carpet in the bathrooms but it is a Berber carpet so not as bad as we expected. The dryer is downstairs and vents straight up...I suspect the vent line is blocked somewhere...it does take two hours to dry a very small load. The upstairs balcony screen door is missing part of the screen.
We absolutely would stay at Three Suites again.

This was an all girls trip to the mountains. 5 of us ranging from age 21 to 87.
We loved having the 3 king size bed and 4 baths. The cabin is very spacious.

Great location with a great view. Plenty of room, inside and out. Bedrooms were spacious and separated enough for privacy. If someone in your group has trouble with steps you should give them a heads up that there are alot or steps.

This property is in dire need of renovation. You can see signs of water damage through the property. The downstairs is basically unusable due to the musty/moldy smell mixed with smoke. The chalet layout is terrible with strange light switches everywhere but none that are convenient to use. The fact that Mountain Laurel isn't providing more blankets and bedding options is a huge negative.

You can't open half the drawers in the kitchen without opening the oven and dishwasher since the drawers hit the handles.

This property should be avoided at all costs until redone. We've been a long-time user of Mountain Laurel properties but have been very disappointed with the quality of the cabin compared to other companies.

Dan, we are sorry for your review and your experience. This one of a kind 3 bedroom suite home, has been on our program for many, many years, with amazing satisfaction. We will be sure to send your comments to the owner and we will address the musty smell as well as the kitchen cabinets and drawers. We have informed guests of limited linens due to covid and more stringent cleaning standards. This information was sent to each guest before their arrival. Yes that is different that large comforters on each bed but these are unusual times and we are taking as many precautions as possible. We have listed the layout of the home on the website and we are sorry that the light switches were confusing. We hope you will stay with us again at another property since this one did not meet your expectations and for that we are truly sorry.

We stayed at Three Suite Retreat. We loved the size of the place and the view. Our only complaint is the three bedrooms bathrooms. Do not care for carpet in the bathrooms. Our shower had a little bit of mold in it. The bathrooms really need to be updated. We feel there needs to be better blinds or curtains on the east facing windows in two of the bedrooms.
We felt very comfortable and at home. It was very clean and we had plenty of towels.
We would use your Chalet company again for future trips.

This is our 3rd or 4th time booking with Mountain Laurel Chalets and we will continue to use them in the future. Three Suite Retreat is in a great location with magnificent views. The common living area is well appointed and comfortable and the hot tub was one of the best I have used. That being said, the property needs some updating/deep cleaning. The bathrooms all have carpet which is a turn-off for us especially in a rental. The carpeting throughout (bedrooms and stairs) was also very dirty with multiple stains present in each room. With a little updating (hard surfaces in bathrooms) and deep cleaning carpets, this could be 5 stars across the board.

It was a lovely snow and typical of early December. Beautiful snow scenes in the trees and open area, but not on the roads! Wish they could all be that way. This home was perfect for our group of 6. Each couple had their own space with lots of privacy. The girls enjoyed the hot tub while the guys loved playing pool and watching sports. We have a raccoon that visited each night. She would come right up to us and beg for food. She was probably one of the highlights of our trip. She was definitively wild and we didn’t try to touch her but we did give her a few snacks. Our last night there my daughter had a bear get into her car, luckily no damage was done other than it left her car door open and chewed on her makeup bag. So when they say lock your car door so the bears don’t get in....lock it. This was our mistake. Other than that, the house is great and fairly easy to get to. We would recommend it for anyone but especially for groups that need their own space and bathrooms. The bedrooms are very large. The view is gorgeous as well! We have no complaints other than a fire pit outside would have been nice, but we had an awesome time without it.

Sounds like you had adventures with the wildlife, but we do caution our guests against feeding the wildlife. They become accustomed to the hand out and are more frequent visitors because of it and that endangers both guests and the animals. You are absolutely right about locking the car doors. Most people find it hard to believe that a bear can open car doors, but you can tell them differently! A fire pit is an excellent suggestion and will be passed on to the homeowner. We hope you are able to escape to the mountains again soon.

There were six(6) of us in residence. We experienced a very clean and accommodating environment, both inside and outside. The home was well-equipped and specious, with thoughtful and comfortable furnishings. The only shortcoming we observed related to stains evident on the extremely light-colored upper level carpeting.

We love your company and always enjoy ourselves. However this year, we did have some complaints. The tv in the basement did not work, several burnt out light bulbs on second floor, chalet not as clean as usual ie dusty and a tomato on the kitchen floor. The back steps need to be cleaned, very slippery. We brushed away the leaves but the moss made them dangerous. One of the guests fell up the stairs while being careful.
The bedding that has been removed could be bagged and moved to laundry. The main floor closet had no room with the bedding and fan crammed in it
We will continue using Mt Laurel, I know the circumstances of the time make things difficult.
The property owners do need to consider some up dates..Carpet is in terrible condition and should never be in bath

We regret you experienced problems during your stay at Three Suite Retreat. The maintenance and housekeeping staffs have been notified and will address the issues you mentioned. Please let us know if you have any trouble with things that our maintenance department can help you with right away (i.e. the television and light bulbs being out). There is someone available during office hours to assist you, just let the office know.

Plenty of room for everyone! The view is Amazing to look at while drinking coffee in the morning, having a fire going in the evening or sitting in the hot tub after a long day hiking. We like to cook our meals and found that the butchers' block needs to be replaced but there was plenty of pots and pans. If you are looking for places to eat out at we found J.T. Hannah's Kitchen and Alamo Steakhouse really good. This is the 3rd property we have stayed at and haven't been disappointed yet with Mtn. Laurel Chalets. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to coming back again and staying at another property.

Having bears passing right by our deck were an exciting bonus. (Be safe! Keep your distance. Lock your car doors. No food left in your vehicles.) They are beautiful.
Conveniently located to go into The Great Smoky Mountains without traffic. Yet easy enough to visit Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge.
Mountain Laurel Chalets always provide excellent service. They care.

Overall this place was great. The pros outweigh the cons here. The views from the deck and the bedrooms was well worth the long drive up the mountain. Felt pretty secluded and didn’t feel like we were sharing the mountain with others which is exactly what you want when getting a cabin in the Smokies. Saw a bear on the first day and the last day which made everyone happy in our group. My negatives with the house is that there is carpet in all the bathrooms and the other carpet needs to be replaced as it looks old and has stains. Also, there was mouse droppings in a few places in the house. I would rent this place again though because of the view and the wildlife!

The view was amazing. It’s pretty much secluded, which makes it nice when your enjoying the hot tub, which was great,it was one of the nicest hot tubs we had been in. Lots of stairs, be prepared! Bears were seen everyday. We enjoyed seeing the bears ( mother and 3 cubs), it was amazing, but had to clean up trash several times. Over all had a good time.

This the second time I have stayed in this chalet. The view is great, the chalet is an older one but so clean and comfortable. All the beds are king size and so awesome. It was a little different checking in but MLC was still so great to work with. The chalet is up the mountain but I have been up those roads so many times it doesn’t brother me. Parking was fine. Didn’t see any bears but they tried to get in our car one night so make sure you lock your car. Would stay here again.

This is a beautiful chalet with perfect views. All 3 bedrooms are huge with their own full bathroom and large comfortable king beds. It was nice having a dishwasher and a washer & dryer. Loved sitting out on the deck early each morning.

We found the house to be perfect for our stay. We were traveling with our two adult children, and each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a huge bonus. The views were awesome and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. The house was close to park and downtown Gatlinburg. Once we were used to the winding roads, travel was fine.

This chalet was just perfect for 3 couples. Very nice and well stocked. There are 2 different sets of stairs but that didn’t bother us. The 2 upstairs bathrooms are very large. We had a fantastic stay in the cabin it was so clean, and the view was amazing. There was six of us, four adults, and two children there was more than enough room for all of us. The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful. The staff is so friendly and pleasant. This is our second time with Mt. Laurel Chalets and we are looking forward to a third time, the cost is very reasonable for what you get a private cabin and beautiful view it is just like a home away from home. We spent some time in Gatlinburg each day went to the aquarium, and the stars cars museum. We ate at Bubba Gumps and Mt. Edge Grill we also did a lot of shopping all in all it was a great trip.

Wow! You packed in a lot of fun at the great attractions and restaurants downtown. Having your own kitchen is handy for other meals when you feel like staying in. You didn't mention the pools, but I hope you were able to visit clubhouses and take advantage of their amenities, especially if you have kids. We look forward to your next trip.

It very was very enjoyable. Location was beautiful. Hot water was an issue in the master bedroom. Had a lot of ants, spiders and killed three wasp in on of the bedrooms.

Would have been nice to have chaise on the deck to lounge in and more parking spaces... the parking ward very narrow and we were very high up on the mountain top

The cabin was great,nice acces, clean,the carpet was a little dirty,could use some new pans for kitchen everything sticks in them,and could definitely use a second water heater you only get 1 bath every couple hours kinda ruff when you have 6 people. But overall a nice place great view.

Has great floor plan. Great views. Watched new years fireworks from hot tub. But learned from our mistakes... remember to lock your vehicles!! Bears can open them. Found 2 in my son's truck when we discovered bears outside.. mountain laurel chalets are very organized and friendly. My only suggestion is bring couple towels for hot tub.

People don't believe us when we tell them to lock doors and roll up windows because bears can open car doors, but sounds like you are a believer now! Pretty common occurrence actually. They don't usually do much damage, unless the door closes behind them! Extra towels are a good idea for the hot tub. We look forward to your next visit with us.

We had a good stay. The Chalet was clean and everything was working properly. The only recommendation for change I would make is that the chalet should either have a code lock or multiple keys issued for when multiple families stay. The one key was a little inconvenient at times.

We were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better cabin! We honeymooned in Gatlinburg and new we wanted to return for our anniversary. The photos online do not do this view justice! We watched the sunrise from bed each morning and it was breathtaking. Our cabin was well maintained, clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful week! Everyone had their own space plus the common rooms were very nice and comfortable as well. We worked a puzzle on the large dining room table. We saw mama bear and babies. We were even blessed with a rainbow one evening. We will DEFINITELY come back to this beautiful retreat.

This property exceeded our expectations. This trip included 3 couples total. We each had our own King suite. The kitchen was fully equipped which helped us on our mission for elaborate breakfasts and dinners. The pool table was fabulous and the bottom floor where it was situated was also like having a 2nd livingroom. A powder room w/shower and the laundry room was also located there. It was very hot during our week there, so we could choose the outside deck or the screened covered one on the front side of the house. The long level driveway is a bonus for anybody that has to accommodate multiple cars or a trailer. The view was magnificent. My wish to see bears this trip came true in a big way. Twice driving to town we saw mama and her cubs and next day we saw daddy. It became more personal when we came home one night to find both the van doors wide open. At first it was assumed it was a person, but upon further investigation, we figured out it was a bear; claw marks and slobber (van door handles are flip type). Ha! Next day mama and cubs came to visit our deck and yard. Got awesome video and pics. This was a biker week for us. The house location made it easy to get off the mountain quick. But checkout morning, our guys left first. Just as we girls were about to leave, there was mama and cubs again...most likely smelled food in our loaded van. When we realized it wasn't locked, we had to think fast. We used the alarm on the keyfob to scare them away. Keep that in mind if you get lucky enough for them to visit. Best choice in rentals and will definitely return here...the sooner the better!

I have stayed with Mountain Laurel since the 80s and had many different chalets. Unfortunately some aren't there anymore due to the fire. 3 Suite has one of the best views we have ever had. The layout is nice. My Daughter, son-in-law and the four grandkids all were comfortable on the second floor. My wife and I had the first floor suite. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the mountains from our window. The hot tub is almost brand new. The deck is large and almost new too. Furnishings are a bit outdated, but it is cozy and comfortable. And the yard is a bonus! Highly recommend.

Pulled up to house and view was absolutely breathtaking pictures online were nothing compared to the actual view , my parents and my children were blown away so was I . The cabin was perfect tons of space , good beds , and of corse great view . We stayed on New Years and we could see fireworks from downtown it was great. This was my first time renting this chalet, myself & a couple friends came down on a motorcycle trip & 3 suite retreat was perfect for 3 guys! Each of us had our own room & full bath. The only downfall - the place was outstanding, but the weather was perfect for riding throughout our stay & we were only at the chalet long enough to sleep! Not that I'm complaining, this may become our usual accommodations for this yearly trip!

Overall we liked the property. The view is great and location is good. The property was generally clean but the carpet was dirty and stained. The cooking pots and pans were very old and worn. The kitchen was small and hard for more than one or two people to work in at a time. The pool table was in need of recovering and there was no chalk so you couldn't really play pool. The hot tub was old and rebuilt with the jets not really working and parts were duct taped over. The deck was newly built and fantastic. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we really liked the property but with a little more work it would be great.

We stayed at Three Suite Retreat for 8 nights, the first week of August 2015. The view from the deck is incredible - we loved eating breakfast and dinner outside each day. Very peaceful. We saw bears several times walking across the front yard, including a mama and cub - loved that! Also hummingbirds, woodpeckers. Located close to the National Park. The house is roomy and nice, comfy furniture. Negatives: ants and what we thought were millipedes. Appliances are very dated but functional. The house is a rental - it has the cheapest carpet possible, no money going into appliances, water damage, some things broken here and there - it needs some TLC. Also, the cheapest, thinnest hotel towels - think about bringing your own. But, it is a great place for its view, quiet, wildlife/animals, location, comfort. Even with the negatives, we would stay here again - loved our vacation!!!

The three suite retreat is a beautiful property nestled beautifully in the Smokey Mountains. The convenience of having 4 bathrooms was perfect for our stay. The home is decorated beautifully and the outdoor deck was magnificent for our early morning coffee. The views from the deck were astonishing no matter what the time of day. Now for the down side.....the home is in need of some repairs. The carpeting in the bedrooms was noticeably dirty. All of the bathrooms, with the exception of the small bath in the lower level, had carpet! And this carpet was disgusting! The appliances are quite old which made it a challenge to prepare a meal. I am not familiar with mountains so I don't know if ants are a problem in higher elevations but the home definitely has an ant problem. It was nice having a yard large enough to play yard games and the outdoor furniture was certainly adequate. All in all we were happy with the home. The beds were very comfortable. This property is located high up in the mountains and the drive to it can be daunting at night. But once we reached our destination we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful everything was.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This location has an outstanding view of the mountains. On a more practical level, the description and reviews did match my experience - the property is quite nice and a bit on the high end side. We did have some maintenance issues (sink that did not drain, bugs in the house, smoke detector that needed a battery) and I am happy to say that the Management company provided a quick response to the issues we identified. I do feel that the property is showing some wear and tear and the older appliances and style tend to date it a bit. We did not use the bottom floor and it smelled musty and a bit closed in because it is a basement. The bugs were also a big issue with my daughter waking up to find a roach walking on her foot. I will probably look at other premium properties the next time I rent, although with some TLC, this one is still an option (that view). I would recommend this type of property to a friend and this one with the caveats I describe above.

The house is gorgeous, from the rock walkway to the little balcony off the second story. Each bedroom was tastefully decorated with plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for several full families. Had all the comforts of home, down to the blender. Even small details did not go unnoticed, including the tiny night light clock in the bathroom. Hot tub was spacious. You need to bring your own charcoal. Our wood was wet and we had a difficult time with starting a fire. I would suggest bringing a starter log with you. The kitchen is fully equipped. The appliances were a little dated, just watch if you bake anything~ it cooks faster than expected. We always use Mountain Laurel Chalets and the customer service there is top notch. Every property has been exceptional. This one is definitely on the top of list. We look forward to another stay soon!

The hot tub would not work and the maintenance tech stated it needed a new control panel. The light switches need to be ID on a sheet of paper in the cabin booklet. The TV's are obsolete. I really loved the cabin and would consider returning.

Three Suite Retreat has it all. Very comfortable, View is awesome, nice yard. We three couples would come back here for sure.

Good. View was beautiful. The best part of the house. Size of house was nice. But the place is in need of a makeover. Carpet dirty. Walls dirty. Carpet in bathroom a bit gross. Just needs a little clean up. Otherwise very nice.

the cabin was beautiful. we really enjoyed ourselves. there were a few problems with the cabin but overall it was great. We have booked for next year.

Beautiful Chalet! The pictures didn't do it justice. It was beautifully decorated. The furniture, the beds and everything was great. Plus, the selection of pots and pans and dishes was far more than most other chalets we've had. The view was outstanding! Everything about it was great. We will be coming back again.

The property was much better than expected. The beds are really wide and comfortable. The utility room doesn't have light. We had an infinite number of insects all over the property and on every level, not just the ground!

This cabin is perfect for 3 separate couples. Each bedroom was a private retreat with its own bath. The yard is great for little ones to play in.
