My family fell in love w/this places. The views are mesmerizing. It was just a quick drive up the mountain from Gatlinburg & the GSMNP. Tom & his staff were wonderful & quick to respond to any of our needs. The pools were close by & easy to access. We will definitely be back. :)

Not all reviews should be made public. If the goal or intent of the review request is to gain feedback on the stay then it should be sent only to the rental management company. That being said, the property was great, however not as clean as last time. Someone had dumped cracker crumbs in between the cushions of the love-seat. They weren't difficult to see - just had to look and there they were. Obviously the cleaning crew didn't look. Not to worry, I found the vacuum and took care of it myself. Dead bugs in the window ledge behind the wicker table. Again, right there for anyone to see - just have to look. If something as simple as inspecting the couch cushions was neglected, then what else was overlooked?
Otherwise, everything else was fine. The master bath vent/fan might need some attention. Sounds like it's hitting something maybe? Not sure. It was nice to see the water leaking into the downstairs den from the bathroom above has been fixed and the ceiling replaced. Looks good! WD-40 on the bedroom and bathroom hinges would work wonders. It's on my list to bring next year, just in case you don't get around to it.
The lady in the office was kind and cordial, but not very warm. Maybe having a bad day. I didn't take it personally.

The property had great views. We had a visit from 3 bears while we stayed, while we were preparing dinner.

The kitchen and bathrooms were really clean, I appreciate the attention to details in those areas but other areas of the property were overlooked. My daughter spilled her snack in the floor and while cleaning it up I discovered lots of dog hair (I wasn’t aware that the property was pet friendly, my daughter has a dog allergy and had an allergic reaction, it took 5 days to get the reaction under control). The couch also had crumps between the couch cushions, these two things may seem like small complaints but it raises a question about cleanliness in general since we are still in a pandemic. The Mountain View was great but the light coming through the windows due to lack of coverings made it impossible to sleep past 6 AM.

Beautiful view! Bears came around to visit us����
Grandson age 5 was amazed with the lay out lol Said who ever built this did a great job! Few things need to be added, cabinet to put our food in that we brought to cook! Had to put it on the counter top which made it all look messy. Big Skillet to cook in. Only had one very small one �� Over all it was beautiful place to stay!

The chalet was very clean and the views were incredible. The property management company was extremely friendly and helpful . The beds only had one thin blanket with no extra linens which would have been nice . Overall wonderful trip and we will be back .

Loved everything about this place (Oct. 2021). Nice terrace to sit outside, clean, updated showers. We cook at home; needed a medium to large skillet. Only a very tiny one; big enough to fry one egg. Got by with the pots and pans but they really should be replaced. Coming back in April 2022 so would like to see a new skillet. Always a pleasure renting from Mountain Laurel Chalets. Friendly people, available for phone calls and easy check in and check out.

This is the second time we have stayed at Sweet View and once again, we loved it!! The view from this chalet is magnificent...even when it got cloudy. This property is very clean and well appointed. It is private and very comfortable. Sweet View is close enough to town, restaurants, shopping, and to the park. We will be staying here again, I guarantee it!

The wide view of the sky, mountains and valley from this pretty chalet high up on the mountain was absolutely spectacular. Loved having that wall of windows, the stone terrace and the outdoor hot tub. The chalet was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Both bathrooms were nicely modern and have quite large showers. We liked the architecture of the chalet with its various levels, the stone fireplace and all the windows plus the peaceful outdoor setting. Gatlinburg is a just short drive down the mountain with all its restaurants and activities. This is the way to camp!

We were there for an anniversary and my brother and (now after proposing at this chalet) fiance joined us to babysit a night.

The view is absolutely amazing and watching the sunrises is what my soul needed to reset.

Very clean and homey. Staff at the office were very pleasant as we checked in. We likely will choose this location on our next stay.

The view of Mt LeConte from the patio at Sweet View will indeed inspire you to climb to the top, but if you are not the adventuresome type, drinks at sunset on the patio with that mountain view to look at is good too. Chalet seemed cleaner than the last time we stayed there - last year. Like most years we are in Gatlinburg, bears tried unsuccessfully to get in our car (paw prints on doors). Last year there were a lot of flies, and this year the issue seemed to be resolved, but we did see one mouse. The location is mostly secluded and quiet. The views are the best part of this chalet. The beds are comfy and appliances well taken care of. I wish there was a large skillet available.

Beth, Thank you for your review. Please contact us if you need anything during your stay. We treat homes monthly for pests and as it is the mtns, there are some instances of pests from time to time. We would be happy to bring you a large skillet as well. We do our best to stock the homes with everything you would need. Glad the beds were comfortable and that the views didn't disappoint. As this home on located on over an acre, it is difficult to find anything like it more secluded and private in Gatlinburg.

Very impressed with Sweet View vacation home. Very clean and beautiful setting. Very peaceful up on the mountain after a day of hiking or shopping in Gatlinburg. We had bears visiting us almost every afternoon, which was an added surprise!! Would definitely stay here again.

As a side note, the hot tub wasn't working when we first arrived. Maintenance came up within a hour of our phone call and got the hot tub working by the time we got back from our hike the next day. Really impressed with that turnaround.

The view was absolutely amazing! The cabin itself looked just like the pictures online. We did have a slow drain in the shower and the ceiling was leaking in the pool room area. We also had a door handle that was loose on the hall bath door which was fixed right away. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay there again

The view, the view, the view!! This is a charming older home with amazing updates and spectacular view. Extremely well kept, super comfy beds. It is an older home so the floorboards in some areas creaked but this really gave the house that much more character. The chalet is high on the mountain thus the magnificent view however some of the roads are quite steep on the way up. Worth every piece though. What would I change? The couches could use a good cleaning i.e.; the leather wiped down and the upholstery steam cleaned. The door knob in the master bath and the second bedroom were falling off; just need to be tightened. There was some water damage on the bottom of the kitchen cabinet that was noticeable when entering the home. None of this would prevent me from staying here again. Pictures are true to the website, very clean, service was amazing. Gatlinburg is a hugh tourist destination so I would suggest to keep this in mind as downtown was extremely busy even with COVID. Ober Gatlinburg was a 5 minute drive and enjoyable as well as Smoky Mountains National Park. The closest grocery store was in Pigeon Forge about 15 minutes away(Publix) other than that there are several smaller markets but expect to pay more. Highly recommend this property and hope to possibly stay here again in the future. If not we will definitely book with Mt. Laurel Chalets again.

Please let the office know if there is anything we can take care of to make your stay more comfortable. We actually have a grocery store in Gatlinburg on Highway 321 called Food City, but you will not escape the inflated prices of groceries there either! The week you were here was the start of Spring Break and all of Sevier County was extremely busy. People are ready to get out and travel from being cooped up with covid restrictions and we are seeing the results. It is not always that busy. If you would like some suggestions about less-busy times and have flexibility, the office would be happy to talk with you about that.

This is our second stay in this Chalet in 2 months. We came before Christmas and loved it so much decided to come back. The house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. The stone fireplace is very cozy. The only upgrade needed is a new mattress in the Master. But you can just meet your wife in the middle....

This place was amazing. The view was out of this world. It was far enough away from town to feel secluded but close enough to pop in and out whenever we felt like it. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Nice level pool table and televisions in every room. Hot tub was hot and the wife and kids were happy. If they let me, I’ll be back.

Overall our stay was nice; the location was great and the house was clean and comfortable. The only negatives we had were: there were no cleaning supplies, nor were there extra trash bags. One trash bag for the kitchen for a 3 night/4 day stay wasn’t nearly enough. We felt bad because we had to leave the house a tad bit dirty. If we had the proper cleaning supplies we would’ve had the trash taken down and everything wiped down when we left. The hot tub water level was also very low. Everyday we woke up the hot tub was a little lower than the day before, probably about 8 inches below the full line in the hot tub. Those aren’t deal breakers, and they won’t keep us from booking with Mountain Laurel again, but we will know for next time. The booking company was easy to deal with, very courteous, very affordable for a nice house, and we will definitely look at their rentals when we go back to Gatlinburg.

For safety reasons, we cannot leave any type of cleaner in the cabin, only soap (dishwasher and sink). There is a list of things for you to consider bringing on the first page of the confirmation and cleaning supplies is listed. As for the extra disposable (toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags), we have chosen to close our office to the public because of covid and are not resupplying these things. You were emailed a letter two weeks prior to your arrival that outlined our covid policies and suggested you bring extra disposable supplies. We are sorry if you misunderstood or did not receive these two notices. The hot tub should not be losing that much water overnight, so we will check that to see if there is an issue. We appreciate you letting us know. We hope you will be able to visit the Smokies again soon.

The Sweet View Chalet is amazing!!! Mt. LeConte view is stunning and you can see Gatlinburg from the stone patio. You can see both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge lit up at night from the hot tub under the gazebo. The stone real wood fireplace is iconic and very cozy. We loved it so much we have booked our return already.

AMAZING!!!! I see why it's called the Sweet View Chalet....because the view is sweeett!! We visited 5 days from Florida with my hubby and 3 kids, ages 1,7,11 as we wanted to have a snow white Christmas, and boy did we get it. Upon arrival was nice and clean with a beautiful view over looking the mountains. It's 3 stories so it was a little difficult keeping my 1 year old daughter off the steps. The boys loved the game room with pool table and big screen TV. On Eve of Christmas Eve the owner scheduled Santa to come see the kids, they were surprised and super excited, and Santa brought gifts!! It snowed Christmas Day and it was beautiful. I didn't see any bears during my visit which I was terrified of because most reviews said a bear visited. I think they were hibernating. I would definitely be returning in the summer because it was 15 degrees and being from Florida that's cold. We wanted to do adventures but too cold. I would give them a 10 star if it was available, but EVERYTHING was amazing!

Everything was in good shape at this wonderful old A frame.She has been updated nicely. The only issue was the TV'S were a hard to control,but I own a flip phone so I'm sure it was Me!!! Views couldn't have been better! LaConte POPS at You.

James, I understand your struggle with technology and I loved my flip phone too! Our maintenance staff is always happy to walk you through the television settings either over the phone or in person. They can be really confusing between the required cable boxes and the Smart TV applications. I hope the magnificent view of Mt LeConte made up for your trouble. We hope to see you again soon.

We had a great time and always come back because of that view. For such a view the patio furniture is woefully inadequate. Very uncomfortable chairs. I wonder every year if the patio is going to be repaired, because it definitely needs some TLC, as does some foundation issues, particularly the guest room with soft and sloping floors. But did I mention the bears? Same as last year, he enters over the wall, checks things out and moves on to the cars. DO NOT FORGET TO LOCK YOUR CAR. He was very skillful in opening the door, fortunately we got it locked before damage was done. Love this house and hope the owners keep up with routine maintenance so we can keep visiting for years to come.

Overall, nice location, view and room layout within the home. While the chalet was clean, it could use a bit of updating - floors are worn, utensils are missing, cooking materials or worn and not always usable. Thank you for the great review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. The outdoor area is fantastic at Sweet View along with the VIEW! However, being ground level, it's easy for a bear to stroll through. Always a good idea during the warmer months to keep an eye out for the bears when you are outside anywhere on Ski Mountain because of our close proximity to the National Park. Family stay to celebrate birthday and anniversary..the chalet was perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed the deck out back and the view was great! The pool table and on site laundry was also used and enjoyed. The hot tub was never used as we saw a few bears down the mountain, plus the daytime temp was in the 80-90,s. We enjoyed dinner at the Peddlar, escape room downtown was a blast and a round of golf in pigeon forge. Although the chalet is not new..the bathroom have been updated with great taste! I could live in this chalet forever! I would totally recommend ! The grill is charcoal which was fine with us, we enjoyed our time outside waiting for the coals to get ready. This would be an awesome view in the fall!

Thank you for the great review and we are glad to hear your enjoyed Sweet View and the fun things to do at the cabin and in Gatlinburg. The A-Frame style of the chalet is very typical of the first homes on Ski Mountain and our guests love the mountain feel it offers. This chalet has seen several renovations over the years and this last round was a big makeover and a home run in our opinion! The bears are being real pesks this year, but are not aggressive, unless provoked, so it's best to give them their space and enjoy seeing them from inside the house. We hope you are able to come visit the Smoky Mountains again soon.

Keys were not ready for pickup on time. (An phone call notice of delay would have been appreciated.) The entire place smelled like pot for two days. Dead snake in closet. Place was not as clean as usually experienced when using Mt. Laurel.

This home was perfect. We stayed seven days and relaxed the entire time with stunning views of the mountains, relaxing hot tub, played pool, watched netflix, and just generally abandoned the world.

The home was clean, aside from a few bugs underneath the couches/spider webs and quite a few flies that were mainly attracted to the light. We swatted those the first day or two and had very few afterward.

The hot tub was a perfect way to wind down each day and after the one hike we did.

The location is brilliant. Far enough away to not be bothered, but close enough to get to the city if necessary. Very close to Newfound Gap road, which we drove and could not contain our excitement at the sheer beauty. The clubhouse had a nice pool and play area for our toddler to enjoy. Restaurants were nearby, but we used the grill and mostly cooked at home. Also, Ski Mountain Pizza was very good, and they delivered within a short amount of time.

Having a washer and dryer in the unit meant we didn't have to pack too many clothes; we washed our laundry before we left. Going home from vacation with CLEAN clothes is a major win!!

Before we left, we were already planning our next stay. We cannot wait to return. We'll probably drive instead of fly next time, because the travel time is nearly the same.

The managers and staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. We saw bears on our second to last day!

Was our first trip to the Smokies! When booking, the staff was awesome helping us navigate where to stay on the mtn. ( esp distance driving/view etc). Accommodations were very nice. Lots of room, comfortable beds, clean, & stocked kitchen. My only 2 small
negatives would be I wish there was 1 more bed or pull out sofa downstairs. Also,there were a few bugs.Maybe needed a good spray. But hey you're in the woods, right?! The panoramic, spectacular view made up for everything!!!!! Was fabulous!!!!!

This is a great tucked away spot. Close to everything, but away from the commercialized **** of downtown! The property managers are sweet, everything was clean and great. Only complaint, there are no hotel sized shampoos or conditioners, just thin bars of soap. Also there is a coffee maker but no coffee. I would just cost the managers a couple bucks to throw in some hotel coffee packs, shampoo and conditioner and this would have made my stay SO much easier. Also, the property managers will recommend Texas steakhouse and other commercialized options. There is a pizza place right down the road from the house if you want to avoid going into town. Also there is a fun restaurant at the bottom of the hill at the stop light before getting into the busy part of town. Called Park Grill or something. Much better than going to a cheesy chain in the middle of all the crowds. The location is wonderful. 10 mins to National Park. 8 mins or less to downtown Gatlinburg if that is your thing.

This chalet was perfect for our anniversary get away. The Mountain View is amazing. I love the open floor plan, the patio was great to watch the sunrise each morning and enjoy my coffee. I sat in the afternoon and read and watched the ever changing mountains. So peaceful and quiet. We had a visit from 3 bears our first evening here. Lots of stars to see, kinda cool to look up and see a sky full of stars and look down and see Gattlinburg all lit up. We look forward to many more stays at Suite 2. We had a great family getaway at Suite Two. It’s location is great, centered between Ober & downtown Gatlinburg. Plenty of room for 2 adults & 2 young children. We really enjoyed the pool table, the hot tub, & sitting on the porch watching the Ober Tram come & go. The people at the rental office were very friendly & helpful. We ordered pizzas from the market & they were delivered very quickly....& they were delicious!!! My only complaints was there was no hair dryer! My fault for not packing my own! We will definitely be coming back!

Our stay at Suite 2 exceeded our expectations in every way. The customer care at Mountain Laurel is second to none. The chalet was exceptionally clean, well stocked,and in a prime location. We loved Suite Two! This was our first time staying at Suite Two. We have stayed at Deerview in the past. This chalet is owned by the same people. There are many similarities between the two chalets. We loved sitting out on the patio during the day. This chalet is in a very private setting here. There is plenty of room to move around. Parking was very easy and spacious. We did not have a chance to use the fireplace. It was actually too warm the weekend we were there. The people at Mt. Laurel Chalets are ALWAYS very friendly. They make you feel like you are part of "their family"". We have been staying with this company for many years. We will 100% stay with Mt. Laurel again! We are already planning our next trip down."

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Suite 2. We were startled by bears the first night, but had been warned by a previous review. We had bears on our patio every night. We were reluctant to use the hot tub for that reason. We also noticed carpenter ants in the master bedroom around the bed area. Overall we enjoyed our stay because the positives outweighed the negatives. The view was spectacular and the layout was very nice.

We loved Suite Two. We were a family of 4 and it was the perfect size for 4 people. Two lovely large bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The house itself was beautifully decorated with lovely pictures and furniture etc.
The showers were great and very large.
The living areas were fantastic. The main floor had wonderful windows to the front as seen in the pictures and the lower floor was great with a pool table which we all loved and a large tv.
If you want a lovely property full of character but don't want the rusticness of a log cabin this is perfect. Very light and airy.
Property description was very accurate and it was very clean.
Location was fab. Very close to Gatlinburg if you want but closer to the National Park (so you need never know you were near Gatlinburg if you don't want).
We used the pool facilities nearby everyday which were great for the kids.
Didn't speak to the owner but Mountain Laurel were very efficient.
Would definately recommend this chalet. You will not be disappointed. We even used the hot tub which was sparkling clean.....
We did walks (Laurel Falls and Grotto Falls), Zipwiring with Climbworks (highly reccommended), tubing at River Rats (fun and easy to do), visited the Mysterious mansion (good fun), did a mountain coaster (Expensive and overrated) and did a few other things. Gatlinburg is massively overpriced. Before arriving in Gatlinburg we stayed in Atlanta and went to Six Flags over Georgia. We bought the most expensive pass (platinum) for limited queuing, spent a whole fantastic day there, did not queue once, went on all the ride, and at $400 was almost the same price, as crazy golf, mirror maze, mysterious mansion, mountain coaster and a few other attractions, each lasting about 5 minutes max, so think about the value. Dollywood may be a better bet for attractions in this area although we didn't visit.

Suite Two can't be beat when it comes to the view. The house is comfortable but there are no window coverings in the living areas. Ok in daytime but not at night. Only complaint with check-in was we were given a map but also told GPS could be used. That resulted in a dangerous route with blind curves and barely room for 2 cars. USE THE MAP!

First time staying in Suite Two but not the first time with Mt. Laurel. As always, another great property from a great rental company. We got a late start & was going to arrive late. Called the office & they set me up with simple, easy late check-in instructions. The property was good as advertised & the as a fan of great views & is always a must when we stay in Gatlinburg, this may have been the best we've had. Simply stunning! The cabin was clean & immaculate. Only complaint I have is the wind comes through the chimney & rattles the fireplace door. We just opened the door to settle that issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone & would definitely come back. Keep an open for bears. We had 3 small bears one night that prowled around the parking area while we were watching a movie in the entertainment room it it was more entertainment than the show! Then the next night a big bear walked by on the beautiful stone patio & hung out a few minutes. Also a pair of wild turkeys liked to hang out in the mornings. All in all a great time & a great place! MT. Laurel is by far the best place to rent from in the Smokies!

Overall, we were pleased with and enjoyed our chalet. View is excellent. Three bears visited, with one coming onto the porch, surprise during morning coffee! Only downside was interior lighting and a lack of remote controls for video equipment. Would stay again without second thought.

Overall, we were pleased with and enjoyed our chalet. View is excellent. Three bears visited, with one coming onto the porch, surprise during morning coffee! Only downside was interior lighting and a lack of remote controls for video equipment. Would stay again without second thought.

suite 2 was immaculate, the view was incredible.. wish I could live here full time :) If I had to make one small recommendation, it would be helpful to have some of the essentials in the house (coffee filters, dish soap and sponge, laundry soap, charcoal for the grill, etc.) It's the little things that we forget to pick up and then realize you forgot them and have to run back out down the mountain. Overall though - an awesome experience. We will definitely be back!! oh, and the friendly bear that visited us one evening made the week!!

This practical A frame chalet has breathtaking views of the Smokey Mountains. Only five minute drives to downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the National Park. Very private and quiet setting. Only nit pick would be the owners need to upgrade the patio furniture as you will spend a lot of time on the patio looking at the view.

Anthony, Thanks so much for your comments. We are looking for better solutions to patio furniture. With high winds we have to have heavy enough furniture to not be blown away and strong enough to endure the weather. We have thought of cushions on the rod iron furniture and need to make sure those are stored adequately between rentals to avoid weathering. But thanks for this reminder as we continually look to improve our guest experience.

We spent a week at Suite 2 and could not have been more pleased with the home and spectacular view. Like others we had a visit from a bear one night while out on the patio, so decided to go inside rather than use the hot tub that night.

It may be time to get new outdoor furniture. Would want to book here again if we return to Smoky Mountains.

We had a great vacation although too short. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and have fully recovered!!! This was our first trip since treatment and a much needed relaxing time. Loved the chalet!! All was perfect and beautiful. We'd like to come back in the fall if we can afford it. So sad it's over.

My daughter and I came for the view and to hike. Almost everything about Suite Two was perfect. We also came to watch a couple chick flicks on DVDs from home. Unfortunately, neither worked (I specifically inquired about working DVD player before booking). This was a minor disappointment. We look fw to returning.

This was our first trip to The Great Smoky Mountains, and we were pleastantly surprised. The view from our chalet (Suite Two) was one of the most amazing views I have ever seen. Pictures really don't do it justice. This chalet was very clean and comfortable. The staff at Mtn. Laurel Chalets were very accomadating and helpful throughout the whole process from start to finsih. The views from this property are amazing. From the master bedroom, the kitchen and the den - you can see the mountains. We had a couple of things that needed to be fixed but the mgmt. company was very responsive. I'd use the mgmt company again and I'd recommend this chalet. We had our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was wonderful!!!

This chalet provided the perfect fall getaway. The chalet itself was gorgeous. The entire back wall is glass revealing a clear, unbroken view of Mount Leconte.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August. We loved everything about this place! From the view to the layout, furnishings and decor, and the incredible walk-in showers that are now on my must have list. On every trip I've ever made to the Smokies, I always hoped to spot a bear. Now I can cross that one off my list! On our 2nd morning we saw a mother bear climbing down a tree at the clearing next to the driveway to join her cub on the ground. They lingered long enough for me to run upstairs to grab my phone and snap a few pics. We had such a great time that we will definitely be returning.

The chalet is fantastic and has great views of Mt. LeConte. Totally worth it and we will definitely come back to stay. I would love some more comfy outdoor furniture since we wanted to spend so much time outside, but in general we were very happy with the house.

The chalet is beautiful and has a fantastic view (some man-made structures and power lines, but lots of mountains too). We loved the stone patio and sitting outside. Beds were comfortable, and bathrooms had nice new tile. There is a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room. Mountain Laurel staff were attentive and responsive to our needs. We had a garbage disposal back up, and they were there within a very short time to fix it. No sign was in front of the property when we arrived, and it was replaced the day we reported it. The staff are personal and responsive.

My only complaint is that a street lamp has been installed in the driveway of the property, and it can't be turned off. It shines directly into the master suite, and it obstructs the view of the night sky. I came here to be with nature. I enjoy meditating with the stars and chose this time to vacation because of a full moon, so this light was very disappointing. I would recommend this be replaced with some nice landscaping lights (that can be turned off by guests) if the owners feel they need security. (This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.) Otherwise a great stay.

This beautiful and updated chalet is in a great location. Offers you quick access to Gatlinburg (5 min drive) but also secluded for those looking for a little R&R. We had stayed in the area before but never in Gatlingburg,we fell in love with the view shown in the chalet showcase photos. Once you see it for yourself you will be in awe. The chalet itself has a great layout. It's beautifully decorated and you will find everything needed for your stay. I know some of the previous reviews mentioned a lack of kitchenware but things may changed as this chalet is well stocked. This was a family spring break trip & we can't wait to get back to the Smokies again and we would definitely stay in this cabin again! The hottub was great after a day out and about. If you avoid the peak traffic times or areas you will have no problem doing everything you want. Only minor suggestions/issues; more comfortable furniture for the patio(we would've spent even more time out there) & the sink in the laundry room has a small leak. Thank you for allowing to stay in your beautiful chalet!

We had a wonderful Valentines weekend at this Chalet. It was our first time at Gatlinburg and we were definitely not impressed. BUT this little chalet was PERFECT for me and my fiancé. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and the hot tub! I loved the layout and decorations of the chalet too. Gatlinburg, however is a waste of time. Crowds of people everywhere, pointless souvenir shops that sell a bunch of ****, traffic backed up all over town, and at least an hour wait at every restaraunt in town. We might come back to this chalet, but in warmer weather for hiking and zip lining!

We stayed here in July and immediately we wanted to come back for Christmas, we've been renting through Mt Laurel for decades and have never been disappointed. From now on this will be our go to chalet for all our stays.

There were 2 couples in our group and it was perfect for us. Killer views of LeConte, great privacy-never saw any neighbors, great patio, great bathrooms, tvs had all of the college football games, we even got up and watched sunrise over the mountains from the back porch. The hot tub was a must after our long trail run. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Have stayed at numerous cabins/chalets in Gatlinburg, this one is our favorite and we plan on staying here next time around. I don't think it is possible to find a better view of the mountains. This chalet has been remodeled and is most pleasing.The new bathrooms were awesome. The drive and parking were great. Everything about it is fantastic. The only thing we didn't see that others have seen were bears. We would actually like to buy this one and make it our own !!!

I was highly satisfied with everything involving this vacation. From the very beginning the staff was friendly and helpful. The home was beautiful, spacious, and the views were breathtaking. My family stayed for the weekend and only wished we would have stayed longer. The home is fully furnished and the kitchen is fully stocked. No need to worry about bringing toilet paper, paper towels, or linens. Everything is already set up for you. The only thing we couldn't figure out how to do was get the hot tub going. It's very dark at night and there was no lightbulb out there. It's one of those things though that when everything else is so awesome you don't worry yourself about such petty things. Also, there are only 2 bedrooms but there are 2 large and very comfy couches that will double as beds. If I can sum it all up, WATCH WHEN YOU SEE THE VIEW!

The chalet was very nice and the stone patio was a great place to relax and enjoy the views of the mountains and parts of Gatlinburg. I know it sounds silly but the large driveway and parking area made for easy parking and loading and unloading of the cars. We have rented some places where you have an inch of space between your car and the cliff. This was a nice change. The hot tub position allowed for a great view as well. My ONLY critique of this rental was the patio furniture. The place has a million dollar view you can spend hours admiring, however the chairs really get uncomfortable after a few minutes. Some more comfortable chairs would be a great addition. However this would not dissuade me from returning, but we will bring our own recliners next year.

We have stayed at numerous chalets in Gatlinburg over the past twenty-something years. During that time, we have dealt with several different chalet rental companies, the last few with Mountain Laurel Chalets. Of all of our visits, we would rate our stay at Suite Two as one of our best. The chalet was absolutely beautiful, and the view was absolutely stunning! (we just couldn't get enough) Everything inside the chalet was well-appointed, with only a few minor things lacking. We took full advantage of the hot tub (which we thoroughly enjoyed), and played pool at least every other day (the pool sticks could use a little maintenance). The chalet is just a Hop, Skip, and a Jump from Ober Gatlinburg where you can find all sorts of entertaining things to do. We kept the bird feeder supplied with seed and were able to enjoy watching many species of birds from the area. Incidentally, anyone interested in wireless internet will be very pleased with the service available at the chalet (quite fast). Fast enough that we were able to stream movies from various sources on our laptop and view them on the big screen TV downstairs in the game room (using HDMI connection) without a hitch. We did see a big ol' black bear (400 lbs.?) less than a quarter of a mile from the chalet on Ski View Drive. Thank God he didn't show up at the chalet because the way the patio and hot tub are situated, you feel very vulnerable. Would we stay at Suite Two again? You bet!
